"Pro-Choicers’ Reaction to Doritos Super Bowl Ad"

National Review Online: A significant number of Americans profess to watch the Super Bowl “just for the commercials,” and the best and the worst ads make headlines for days afterward. This year, an ad for Doritos chips is causing controversy, for an implied pro-life message.

What’s causing controversy is the portrayal of that unborn baby as one with an actual human personality. As NRO’s Jay Nordlinger noted earlier, the ad dares to portray the unborn child as human, and “not a meaningless blob of protoplasm.”

The pro-abortion activist group NARAL tweeted its disapproval, criticizing Doritos for “using #antichoice tactic of humanizing fetuses.”
“Humanizing” fetuses? How dare they imply that human fetuses are actually – quelle surprise! – human?

Time for Super Bowl predictions.

Here's mine:

Kansas City Chiefs over...I don't know.  How about the San Francisco 69ers, 31-17.

Bear in mind, I've picked the Chiefs every year since 1981....and I actually named my elder daughter Delaney, after Joe....so maybe you shouldn't take that hot tip, mortgage your house, and fly to Vegas to place that bet.
Any "Chefs" jokes in the comments will be dealt with swiftly and brutally.  Hey, we're 1-0, you smug bastards.  Tied for first.

What are your picks?
