The over the top attacks on the Donald continue as people continue to lose their shit. The hyperbole is amazing. Trump is Hitler. Trump is Mussolini. Trump killed Jesus. Wait a minute I thought Bernie was the one who was Jewish. Is this a dog whistle or something?

A church actually posted this cartoon as part of their celebration of Easter. Nice right?

Ann Coulter nails this phenomenon in a tasty little post on Briebart. In it she lays out all of the many troubling similarities between the Donald and the Fueher. For example:

— Adolf Hitler held gigantic rallies, where he inspired millions with rousing speeches. Donald Trump holds gigantic rallies, where he inspires millions with rousing speeches.

— Adolf Hitler talked about making his country great again. Donald Trump talks about making his country great again.

— Adolf Hitler promised military victories. Donald Trump promises military victories.

— Adolf Hitler had a loyal and overweight henchman, Hermann Goering. Donald Trump has a loyal and overweight henchman, Chris Christie.

And she goes on and on in her inimitable restrained style. I like how she understates the case. It is exactly the way I like to argue.

It is amazing how terrible the Donald is and the extremes that people will go to attack him. These pussies get so upset that their tampons fall out before they can get home and they have to put it on the internet to show how upset they are about the end of America as we know it.

"The 14th Amendment, you'll all remember, came after the Civil War, remember what the Civil War was about? That was freeing the slaves. It wasn't about allowing illegal aliens to run across the border, drop a baby and say, "Ha ha, you missed me, I'm a citizen now."

Do you think the framers of the 14th Amendment, that's what they were hoping to do? She said both she and Chris Christie, I saw, saying on TV yesterday, "Well, of course you'd need a Constitutional amendment to do that, that's crazy.""

Candor? It's not what's for dinner.

A friend of mine recommended a book that I have put on my reading list. Creativity, Inc written by the guy who runs Pixar and Disney Animation, and subtitled: Overcoming the Unseen Forces that Stand in the Way of True Inspiration. In it, he maintains candor, the willingness to be frank, open and sincere, is crucial to the creative process.

A quote:"Of course, there are sometimes legitimate reasons not to be candid. Politicians, for example, can pay a steep price for speaking too bluntly about contentious issues. CEO's can get dinged for being too open with the press or with shareholders and they certainly don't want competitors to know their plans. I will be less than candid at work if it means not embarrassing or offending someone or in any number of situations where choosing my words carefully feels like a smart strategy. But that's not to say lack of candor should be celebrated. A hallmark of a healthy creative culture is that people feel free to share ideas, opinions and criticisms. Lack of candor, if unchecked, ultimately leads to dysfunctional environments."

You have to edit yourself all the time in this era of political correctness. It is fine to say "Hey I am going to say what I want and I don't give a shit." But that can have a lot of ramifications. For your business. For your friendships. For your family life. For every aspect of your life.

People who are in the business of rabble rousing and making controversy can get in trouble for candor. Look at Ann Coutler. She got more attacks for dissing the Jews than she ever did for admitting she likes a back door man. The Duck guy got in a bunch of trouble. Rush got in hot water for talking about black quarterbacks and lost a gig. It happens to professors and politicians all the time. Romney lost an election because he told the truth about the lazy shiftless 47%. Even pizza owners can lose their business if they don't kowtow to  the gaystapo. 

I spend a lot of time at a stupid little site called "Previously TV."  It has threads about TV shows and the mindless fun that is reality tv. I love to post and snark there. I got my own thread sort of where I post my Marilyn's Diary entries. Sometimes I wander into a thread and I know I can't comment. Like the one for the View. You have a bunch of low information opinionated types spouting off political nonsense. I can't say what I think because there would be an explosion. It is not worth the aggravation because you can't argue with stupid. So candor doesn't play there. You need to walk on by and let it lie.

That is where we are today.

Ann Coulter defends Donald Trump

"MEDIA HIDE FACTS, CALL EVERYONE ELSE A LIAR"

When Donald Trump said something not exuberantly enthusiastic about Mexican immigrants, the media's response was to boycott him. One thing they didn't do was produce any facts showing he was wrong.

Trump said: "When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're not sending you. They're not sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems to us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."

The first thing a fact-checker would have noticed is: THE GOVERNMENT WON'T TELL US HOW MANY IMMIGRANTS ARE COMMITTING CRIMES IN AMERICA.

Wouldn't that make any person of average intelligence suspicious? Not our media. They're in on the cover-up. (read more)

Meanwhile a Cable television station has picked up Miss America pageant. NBC had dumped Miss America over the Donald's remarks about Mexican raping immigrants. Donald must have miss the memo saying the rapists are on college campus ;-)
