So for all the trolls who want to change the subject here is some of what Trump said in his foreign policy speech in Youngstown today:

This also means we have to promote the exceptional virtues of our own way of life – and expecting that newcomers to our society do the same.

Pride in our institutions, our history and our values should be taught by parents and teachers, and impressed upon all who join our society.

Assimilation is not an act of hostility, but an expression of compassion. Our system of government, and our American culture, is the best in the world and will produce the best outcomes for all who adopt it.

This approach will not only make us safer, but bring us closer together as a country.

Renewing this spirit of Americanism will help heal the divisions in our country. It will do so by emphasizing what we have in common – not what pulls us apart."

This is what we were speaking about yesterday. That Americas Judeo/Christian culture is superior to the dreck that these savages bring from their third world shit holes. Did you know that a Somali woman who married her brother in an immigration fraud scheme is the Democratic nominee to the Minnesota State legislature? And that the local media is refusing to cover it? The lying media will do anything to protect Hillary and they will do anything to produce a false narrative about Muslim immigration.

"How does European humanitarianism become a road to moral surrender? In Germany, they’re beginning to find out.

Jan Böhmermann is a German political satirist—think of a younger version of Jon Stewart—who, on his TV show last month, read aloud a lewd poem about Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The verse was replete with mocking references to the Turkish president’s anatomy, his alleged relations with farm animals, and his mistreatment of religious and ethnic minorities.

Was it funny? My wife, who’s German, puts it in the category of “so puerile you laugh.” But Mr. Böhmermann had a serious point, explicitly framing his poem as an example of Schmähkrtik, or abusive criticism, and therefore not necessarily protected by German law. His larger aim was to test the limits of free speech, much as the American comedian George Carlin did in the 1970s with his notorious “seven words you can’t say on TV.”

The ploy succeeded too well. The Turkish foreign ministry made a formal request of the German government to prosecute Mr. Böhmermann under a Wilhelmine-era law (known as Section 103 and previously used by the Shah of Iran and Augusto Pinochet of Chile) forbidding insults against foreign leaders. Mr. Erdogan has also filed a private suit against the comedian, who is now under police protection in consideration of the recent fates of European satirists who ran afoul of Muslim sensitivities.

None of this is surprising: The Turkish government is pursuing nearly 2,000 criminal cases against Turkish citizens accused of insulting Mr. Erdogan, some of which involve school-age children who posted material on Facebook. Mr. Erdogan’s bodyguards also recently roughed up some demonstrators protesting him in Washington, D.C. It’s in the nature of political thuggery to recognize no boundaries, moral or territorial.

It’s also in the nature of the liberal West constantly to seek an accommodation with the thugs. ZDF, the German public broadcaster that carries Mr. Böhmermann’s show, immediately pulled the offending clip from its website, though it promises to foot his legal bills. German Chancellor Angela Merkel told Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu that she found the poem “deliberately hurtful,” a comment her spokesman went out of his way to disclose.

More damagingly, the chancellor allowed the criminal case to go forward when she had the legal authority to stop it, claiming the judiciary is where the matter rightly belongs while promising to repeal the law under which the suit was brought. This is supposed to be the height of pragmatism, a way of mollifying Mr. Erdogan even as it’s unlikely that a German court will impose much of a penalty on Mr. Böhmermann.

But hiding behind judicial skirts does nothing to disguise Mrs. Merkel’s more craven calculation, which is her need to placate Mr. Erdogan after he agreed last month to keep refugees from flooding Europe through Turkey in exchange for billions in financial aid and visa-free travel for Turks in Europe. A deal is supposed to be a deal, but the Turkish president is not the sort to stay (politically) bribed. Hence the need to appease him in the coin of a comedian’s prosecution.

What begins in small concessions of principle generally leads to greater concessions. Germany might soon repeal Section 103 and Mr. Böhmermann may well be vindicated in court. But by now Mr. Erdogan knows that nothing is so morally flexible as a Western politician desperate to avoid a tough choice, so expect him to find new avenues to impose his will, and his values, on a pliable Europe..."

Trump questions Merkel's actions; US influx of refugees

"He said: “Frankly, look, Europe is going to have to handle — but they’re going to have riots in Germany [due to the influx of Syrian refugees invited by Chancellor Merkel]. What’s happening in Germany, I always thought Merkel was like this great leader. What she’s done in Germany is insane. It is insane. They’re having all sorts of attacks.”


Mr Trump was talking about the decision to throw open Germany’s doors to Syrian migrants taken by Frau Merkel in August, which Breitbart London previously reported. The ‘open doors’ policy is an idea for which she has come under attack, even from those within her own political ranks.


“What they should do is get all the countries together, including the Gulf States, which have nothing but money. They should all get together and they should take a big swath of land in Syria.


“They should do a safe zone for people where they could live. And then ultimately go back to their country, go back to where they came from.”


Mr Trump was asked how many migrants he would take into the U.S. were he in charge. He replied: “10,000, I’m not thrilled, but maybe. 200,000 people? This could be the greatest Trojan Horse. This could make the Trojan horse look like peanuts if these people turned out to be a lot of ISIS.”


He commented on the fact that most of the migrants are young men:


“…I have been watching this migration. And I see the people. I mean, they’re men. They’re mostly men, and they’re strong men. These are physically young, strong men. They look like prime-time soldiers.


“Now, it’s probably not true, but where are the women? You see some women. You see some children. But for the most part, I’m looking at these strong men. So, you ask two things. Number one, why aren’t they fighting for their country? And, number two, I don’t want these people coming over here.


“And even on a humanitarian — when I was first asked this question — you asked it to me a long time ago — when they were talking about 3,000 people, I begrudgingly would say, oh, maybe, I don’t know. Maybe.”

"One of the National Security Agency's biggest defenders in Congress is suddenly at odds with the agency and calling for a top-to-bottom review of U.S. spy programs. And her long-time friends and allies are completely mystified by the switch."

In a pointed statement issued today, Senate Intelligence Committee chairman Dianne Feinstein said she was "totally opposed" to gathering intelligence on foreign leaders and said it was "a big problem" if President Obama didn't know the NSA was monitoring the phone calls of German Chancellor Angela Merkel. She said the United States should only be spying on foreign leaders with hostile countries, or in an emergency, and even then the president should personally approve the surveillance."

It was not clear what precipitated Feinstein's condemnation of the NSA. It marks a significant reversal for a lawmaker who not only defended agency surveillance programs -- but is about to introduce a bill expected to protect some of its most controversial activities."

With the government shutdown out of the way for a few months, intense media and public focus has turned to the fizzled launch of ObamaScare, the new healthcare system that will be doing hardly any of the grand things Obama promised at the start.

Anyway now President Obama is also in a lot of hot water abroad for embarrassing revelations about ubiquitous American intelligence-gathering operations disclosed by Edward "I'm Just Trying to Help" Snowden.

A Chicago businessman, Robinson loved to tell the story of his initial CIA briefing. He asked if the CIA spied on even Canadians. “No,” was the reply. “But we do spy on the people we would spy on if we did spy on them.”

Thursday Germany's Foreign Ministry summoned the U.S. ambassador for an official scolding. To preempt something worse, Obama talked with Merkel by telephone on Wednesday.

The White House description of such calls rarely reveals who initiated the connection. But this time it was most likely Obama on damage-control over widespread reports that the NSA eavesdropped on Merkel's cellphone. As usual, we have the entire White House text below.

Such descriptions typically lack specific details. In this case, though, that's the telltale clue.

For example, read this seemingly clear-cut denial: “The President assured the Chancellor that the United States is not monitoring and will not monitor the communications of Chancellor Merkel.”

Notice the verb tenses in this White House statement: “is not monitoring and will not monitor.”

What's missing there is the key phrase "has not monitored." Sometimes what’s important is what's not said.

In other words, Obama's NSA is not eavesdropping on the German leader and the American president promises not to do it again.
