"Aerial images show thousands of acres of state forests have been damaged in Northern Michigan in the aftermath of March’s severe ice storm. Approximately 919,550 acres of state forest land are impacted by the ice storm, according to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources’ Forest Resources Division.
“I’ve worked for the state for 39 years and I’ve never seen anything quite like this,” said Jeff Stampfly, Chief of the Forest Resources Division. Otsego County is among the 12 counties under Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s State of Emergency declaration. Whitmer has requested a Presidential Emergency Declaration (EM) for the State of Michigan as well." As of today, 2000 residents are still without power after a "generational ice storm" moved through the northern half of the state two weeks ago.
Whitmer needs Trump's help and proposed interventions if Michigan is to survive the losses and limitations its been experiencing and begin to thrive again. The time for reacting to him with insults, barbs, and distain is over and gone. She needs to show her face with courage, consider him a resource, and work out a deal that will benefit the state she's twice been elected to govern.

That last para says it all and even she is smart enough to see it, although she realizes the mob mentality of the Demos.
Scylla and Charybdis, indeed.
