Joe Biden is not nuts

So he tells us.

The video is edited so that Biden never makes his point and that's fine with me because I don't care to hear it.

I'm thinking, "people actually stop what they're doing and patiently listen to this guy?"

I read something incredibly stupid in comments section on the Newsweek site.

The article was about Warren attracting a considerable audience. The photo showed a farily large group of people assembled in some liberal city like Seattle. Everyone sitting outside enjoying the summer day.

The commenter disputed the impressively large Trump crowds by comparing them with total US population.

"The US has a population of 300 million people. Trump attendance is 20,000. That's .000066%. The crowds are not that large."

A second commenter said, "Brilliant!"

You have to sign in to comment or else I'd tell them both that they're idiots. The entire population cannot be expected to want to attend a single rally.

The proper comparison is crowds between candidates.

Because they're locals. Usually. But Trump has people traveling. Some even make it a thing to attend as many as possible.

But only comparisons between candidates. Comparisons between rock concerts and candidates are invalid because the rock concerts are more unique and candidates are far more specific.

I've seen religious festivals larger than Trump's rallies, but those festivals are much more rare and people do travel for those.

The pope visiting Denver attracted huge crowds of travelers to see him. That was the pope who was popular, not the current pope. What surprised me about that one was the very high number of young people who traveled great distances to see him. Lovely children not used to that sort of thing. The trouble they got into, dehydration and such, coming unprepared for massive crowds. "I just had to sit down and pray." What beautiful innocent vulnerability. I hadn't ever heard anything like that.

The walking dead. I guess. Hard to tell because the whole thing is rigged. Who will win the behind-the-scenes power struggle? Who will emerge the "victor" that all the puppets will be obligated to enthuse over? I don't care. They're all dirtbags and none of them care about the country beyond what it can do for them.

Oh! Now I understand, Biden is a comedian. It all makes so much sense now.

Gropin' Joe isn't nuts. He just thinks he's a lot smarter than he really is. And he has a kind of historical dyslexia.

Like Franklin Roosevelt getting on TV to reassure the country.

After the markets crashed.

In '29.

When he was President.

No, but that's where his hair plugs originated.

Biden, the slow runner, is just about ready to give way to the non runner. To somebody who thinks 1st, 2nd, &3rd sucks as a concept.

He's a hack and not a "nice" one. Or funny, or intelligent, or experienced at anything other than taking care of himself and his friends and occasional rabble rousing in order to stay in the game. And even those skills are iffy. The fact that he's popular reflects the low standards that we have for our "elite" mediocrities.
Pathetic.
