Kid hits cows, cows smash kid

I didn't know 4-H is like this.

With three stomachs you can imagine what's on their bovine minds most of the time and it isn't attacking the boys and girls that are giving them their oats and hay. The biggest risk I recall is getting stepped on by one of the clumsy oafs. At 1000 lbs that could mean a 250 pound hoof on your foot until the gentle giant figures out why you're yelling and impotently punching its thick hide and moves.

Cause and effect.

Surprising how many people never quite get one of the more basic principles of life.

4-H is gritty. The young boy talking is also stuck between two hard realities--one involving the daily care needed to raise and show the animal, and the other involving the completion of that process, which is to sell and release what he cared for to someone who will kill it for the meat it provides.

It looks like the kid was just pointlessly pummeling the brown cow then brown's buddy casually tried to squish him. Or it could be the kid was trying to get brownie to move so he could get out then black cow decided to press the advantage. It's hard to tell. 4H kids usually know how to be around animals but who knows these days. Animals will take advantage of people they don't respect. I once saw a horse casually and deliberately step on a kid's foot ... and then lean into it. Ouch.
