Trump vs China via North Korea

We see how Trump operates. We see what he's doing. We see it, so why doesn't our media explain it this way? It's like they're pretending to be hopelessly thick. We know they are not this stupid, so it's something else. They simply refuse to describe Trump accurately.

I did not read Trump's book, not my cup of tea, but I know without looking that this is in there. I'll bet $10.00 for fun, that what is happening now is written straightforwardly in his book about making deals.

* The best deals are the deals that you are willing to walk away from. Because you can come back for a deal with better terms.

On the surface, it is reported that Kim Jong-un made a fuss about Pence comparing his situation with Libya, that ultimately worked out very poorly for Gaddafi, and threatened to pull out of the planned summit. But this is Trump and not the usual American diplomatic corps that N. Korea is used to speaking with at. On the surface, Trump withdrew first, because Kim Jong-un is not serious about negotiating, and now Kim Jong-un is left with nothing.

But North Korea is puppet to China. Trump is dealing with China, not North Korea. Trump is telling China the deal is off while North Korea is left helplessly flouncing. Trump ups the ante with China by telling his people to look into more tariffs. Over two hundred more little trade-things to even out between us, components of automobiles, mostly. Tariff all that crap, that's how uneven the trade is between us. Trump has a lot of leeway on things to become testy and touchy, he can keep doing that all year. That's how unfair, how unbalanced, how out of whack, how so not free the trade is between us. Now China is going, "Oh shit, we blew it." Now they've in worse position than they were when they tested Trump. Gambling the amounts so vast, so important, they cannot be f'd with. Yet, Trump does. Because our market is a lot more important to China than they are to us, albeit they're very important to us. Trump is using U.S. unfairness in tariffs to highlight China's outrageous and extraordinary punitive unfairness in tariffs.

It's astonishing, frankly, observing Trump do this standing up to China's characteristic trade bullying. And it's dismaying seeing Trump characterized by our media as irrational bully. Media really are dumb little bullies. They tell us they're just trying to ask the hard questions and that's fine. But they're impervious to the explanations. They pretend to not understand. So while this goes on our media tells us instead:

* a judge ruled that Trump cannot block Twitter followers because Trump's Twitter feed is a public space.
* Trump pulled out of N.Korea summit
* Kim Jong-un sharply criticized Pence for comparing N.Korea with Libya
* Trump instructed his trade people to examine areas to increase tariffs on China
* Trump called MS-13 animals, less than human

Just asking the hard questions.

Unrelated.

Trump's schedule is breakneck. I'm exhausted just keeping up observing. He's just had a roundtable discussion about immigration and MS-13 with his top law enforcement officers. Video of that conference is everywhere if you'd like to see it. Top people in his departments including Ron Rosenstein, were all genuinely and touchingly thanking him for his concern and his support. It's a remarkable video, actually. But now Trump must rush off, and do all this under extreme precaution and layered protection. The hatred ginned up against him is incredible. While rushing to his transportation and on a very tightly controlled schedule, Trump notices the policemen there to protect him. He breaks away from his entourage and runs over to greet them individually. Put yourself in these policemen's shoes, try to feel what they feel as they see their president do this. He's running to us!

Looking for this cop handshaking video, I had to go through dozens of videos like this. Apparently this is a thing. Imagine Herself doing anything like this, much less habitually. She considers cops to be pigs and she says so. For her, cops are there to carry her bags.

I can imagine someone dismissing this as typical of politician behavior; go around glad-handing everyone near you. Be sure to vote, be sure to vote, thanks for the support, be sure to vote. But that's not what we're seeing. This is a man genuinely grateful for the people assembled to protect him. He made their day. Each of them. Everyone of them went home and told their wife that the president ran over to them and shook their hand, thanked them, and said words of encouragement.

Media could show us this. But they don't.

You have it exactly right Chip.

It is China we are dealing with in North Korea. We don't want them crossing the Yalu river again if we can help it.

Little Rocket Man thought he was still dealing with the spook.

Trump loves people. He's a big brained extrovert. Introverts think they're superior. We're not.

P.S. Anyone read the story about the guy planning to swim the Pacific?! Yikes. Can be accessed at Drudge.

the Eminent Mr Surber will tell you the book is Sun Tzu's The Art Of War done for business

Li'l Kim knew there would be a guarantee of no regime change. Common knowledge.

Trump goes by the Sun Tzu line, "One mark of a great soldier is that he fight on his own terms or fights not at all."

You (and Troop) pretty much have it. The Reds are the big dog, so we hear from General Sun, "Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win."

Again, you and Troop have it. Trump made his fortune being able to work with the little people. He knows their struggles and loves them.

Anyone read the story about the guy planning to swim the Pacific?! Yikes.

Yikes and then some. A woman was on the Carson show talking about her plan to swim the Atlantic back in the 60s. Some time later, she started and a few days later she disappeared.

Sharks.
