KLEM FM

Now viddy this -- a very disturbing day's mash-up: German, Russian, senseless violence, eyes-glued-to-the TV -- even Beethoven's 9th. Throw in a little "orange" like clockwork.

Even the violence seems faked -- like "wrassling"

At 12 years of age, I was way too young to see "A Clockwork Orange" in 1972. Still, I got the gist of it via "Mad Magazine."

I saw it in the theater, loved the Ludwig van, saw it a couple of years after my divorce and thought "That's not very violent", but watching that clip now - wowsers - there's a lot of violence in that movie.

Not going to watch it again. I have a great deal of respect for Anthony Burgess' linguistic skills, he really had a knack for mashing Russian into English and creating a khorosho malenky bit of slang.
