Ha ha. I hit thumb up button at YouTube three times and it went down three numbers. Their jackassery is worse than my own.

I love the way Trump describes other countries. His opinion is widely shared. Then when he meets their leaders they all know in advance precisely what we think of them. And whatever they say to their own citizens, his positions are still baseline for discussion. Not theirs.

I haven't engaged a single European who doesn't imagine themselves more capable of managing US affairs better than we do ourselves. All along lines even more liberal than our own Democrat party. To a person, they're all informed by State media. They all pay a required license for the privilege. (And fight like h-e-double heck sticks proving they don't ever watch t.v. in order to avoid paying the required license.) Very similar to American Democrats where Party does all their thinking for them, save only for their most virulent activists. Go ahead, engage one, and see if you get the well-practiced routine.

A license to watch t.v. !

An abrupt explosion. But no smoke or fire. Electricity went off.

Now this is inconvenient because I'm drying a feather stuffed quilt with two baseballs pounding it so the feathers don't clump into the corners of its sewn pockets. It's an experiment.

The generator took over. Now I get to reset every little thing with a clock.

When this President pisses off liberals, then you know he's doing something right.

I recall the hand wringing when Bush pulled out of the Kyoto Accords that Clinton "signed", like with a handshake, a wink, and a grin (you may need a cloth to wipe that off). The only nation to meet any of the requirements of the Kyoto Accord was the US, under George W Bush. It did so not so much by government action, but by the likes of Chesapeake Energy's founder Aubrey McClendon pressuring energy companies to convert to cleaner burning natural gas, so that he would have a domestic market for all the natural gas his wells were producing (and at the time, the US Government would not allow him or anyone else to export).

Some might say, but Obama was writing regulations to make coal unaffordable, thus also applying pressure to convert to Natural Gas. The thing is, Obama was also eliminating access to oil and gas on federal lands, and illegally (as the 5th Circuit decided) preventing the sale of leases in the Gulf of Mexico. In short, Obama was artificially raising the prices of all combustible energy sources. That's how we got $100 bbl oil, despite being told at the time the high prices was due to "peak oil". Can't find anyone that will admit to believing peak oil these days.

The collective marxist screeching, vapors, and hand-wringing is a sight to behold. Watching these morons heads explode is so much fun. I'm awaiting their Heavens Gate Mass Suicide activities soon since we are all doomed.

I must say, Mr. Trump does have a knack for provoking the left into embarrassing tantrums in public.

I read an interesting take on President Trump.

The author posits that he has no fixed beliefs. He is a realist. He comes at an issue as a problem solver. He takes to contrasting opinions. Bannon. Preibus. Kushner. Tillerson. They all have a take. He listens to all of them. In the end in this case he went with his campaign promise. Because he thought it was the right thing to do. The smart thing to do.

That is good enough for me.

I am not so hung up on the right and the left anymore. I just want to do what is right for America. America first.

As the God Emperor told us. He was elected by the people of Pittsburgh not Paris.

“I was elected to represent the citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris,”

Pittsburgh voted overwhelmingly for Hillary Clinton.

Don't you feel sorry for them? They don't get Hillary and they don't get their international power grab and wealth redistribution scheme. What a f'k'n drag for them. Did I say "sorry" just now? Oh. Oh. Hold me. I feel another laughing fit coming on.

"The giveaway for the Paris charade is the refusal to set baselines. If nations are to hold one another accountable for progress on greenhouse-gas emissions, surely they must agree on a starting point from which to progress. Yet the framework for Paris pointedly omitted this requirement. Countries could calculate their own baselines however they chose, or provide none at all. Now, per Chait, the pledges have themselves become baselines, and each country receives applause or condemnation in inverse proportion to its seriousness.
Even failing on one’s commitment is acceptable, so long as the right things get said. Carbon Market Watch reports that “despite all of the fanfare that went on at the time, it seems that there are currently only three European Union countries pursuing climate policies that put them in line with the agreements made at the Paris Climate Change Talks.” Angela Merkel said that she finds the G7’s discussion of climate change “very difficult,” but not because her nation’s emissions have risen the last two years. Her difficulty arises from those ugly Americans’ unwillingness to keep up appearances.
Later this week, we will be treated to the spectacle of “a statement backed by all 28 EU states, [in which] the European Union and China will commit to full implementation of the Paris Climate Agreement”—undoubtedly accompanied by lamentations that the United States has disrupted the charade by walking off stage. How the world misses President Obama’s enthusiasm for a debating society that delivers no substantive action, or even a useful framework for assessing results, only a forum for bashing America."

President Trump was just being true to his campaign promises. This is what he said he would do.

Lets make a short list.

Get the pipelines approved. Check.
Cut regulations as much as possible. Check.
Confirm Conservative Justice to the Court. Check.
Reopen the coal mines and get the miners back to work. Check.
Get out of these climate agreements. Check.
Slap around Nato and the UN and try to get them to pay their bills. Check.

There is a lot he didn't do. He didn't end Obamacare because the Republican congress will not repeal and replace. He didn't stop Immigration from terror states because the court stopped him. He didn't even the drain the swamp of Obama appointees because they are slow walking his nominees. Most of all he hasn't started on the Wall.

So he still has a lot to do. But every time he fulfills a promise he gets high marks from the people who supported him.

Trooper --

1) Don't say that name three times, please don't...

2) The legislative strategy is all whack. The White House and the Congress should have understood, from the get-go, that they weren't going to be able to pass very much between 2017-2018, because of the thin majority in the Senate. So the right strategy is to do what you need to do to increase the Senate majority after '18. That means you stop worrying about passing stuff, and just make sure you vote on stuff -- lots of it -- that puts your opposition on the spot. Especially those Senators facing re-election in 2018.

If they'd followed that strategy, they wouldn't have wasted all that time with Obamacare in the House, only to get a terrible, then a a little less terrible, bill. Put the full bill you want before the Senate, and let the opposition filibuster it if they wish. Sets you up for 2018.

It's unclear, at this point, if they're going to do that.
