What did I do today?

Woke up. Ate a good breakfast. Travelled an hour north and hung an LED light fixture I had wired the previous week. Presto! there was light! Looks gorgeous. LED flat panel nearly mimicks a sky light. Continued with moving a 240 V outlet for a stove that needed lowering by one stupid inch to fit a modern appliance, That took a few hours or sawing, mounting, rewiring and was interrupted by the arrival of a new microwave which I had tried to hang the previous week. The new one fit no better and I finally figured out through pure reasoning and experiment that the instructions were at a fault and so I rigged a new plan of fitting. The microwave is now well-hung. Back to the outlet. Needed a couple reinforcement straps to bring to code, but the final result and test will be delayed until tomorrow. Same Bat Time, Same Bat Channel. Then the kitchen will be done.

WTH is going on in D.C. and why should I care?

Good job, CL. I helped my neighbor install an over-the-stove microwave - that was a two man job and I ended up drilling new holes in the cabinet above the MW. Never a dull moment, I'm gonna tell you what.

I need to replace my OEM range, and it is so old it doesn't plug into a 220, 221, whatever it takes, outlet, the wires are just twisted together. I guess code was a bit different in 1951. So I am making do for now - no real hurry to replace it, plus I want to wait until the type of stove I want goes on sale.

Work is good, focusing on what is immediate and local, also good. Saves a lot of angst.

I'm finishing up new siding on my dormer. With a can of wasp and hornet spray handy.

It's funny I had watched a streamed movie Hush (2016) via Netflix last night. Later i unconsciously or subconsciously incorporated aspects of the movie into a recurring dream I've been having. fascinating.

Lem, Our brain uses dreams to process information and feelings. We only understand a small part of the world's most sophisticated computer.

Allen: My old aunt had hordes of them coming out of her attic windows when I painted her house. I emptied a half dozen cans on them. She had them in her garage, too, but paid them no more mind than if they were butterflies and they happily buzzed around her head as if she were their queen. When I walked into her garage their buzzing was anything but friendly.
