McMaster denies Washington Post story alleging Trump revealed highly classified information to the Russians

Link to video

WAPO : "President Trump revealed highly classified information to the Russian foreign minister and ambassador in a White House meeting last week, according to current and former U.S. officials."

I remember during the campaign there were stories claiming security services didn't want to brief Trump on anything classified for fear that he would blurted it out. The stories where said to false later on... and now... It's happening again. Scott Adams is calling it fake news.

It's a blitzkrieg. I hope Trump has a plan.

Consider the source.

PS If that's a blitzkrieg, the Polish cavalry beat the Krauts.

Breitbart has it flipped. "Deep State leaks highly classified information to the Washington post to smear Trump."

That sounds very possible.

I simply point to Navy v. Egan, 484 US 518, to wit:
"The President, after all, is the "Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States." U.S.Const., Art. II, § 2. His authority to classify and control access to information bearing on national security and to determine whether an individual is sufficiently trustworthy to occupy a position in the Executive Branch that will give that person access to such information flows primarily from this constitutional investment of power in the President, and exists quite apart from any explicit congressional grant."

That's enough to make this fake news. Note, Obama via an EO gave similar authority to members of his cabinet for information classified by the Departments they ran; however, the issue with Hillary was some information sent was not classified by State but by DoD and other agencies not under State. So with that, I don't give a flip what Trump said or did not say about classified information, because its is the authority given to him by voters like me.

WaPo, let me know when the Trump Administration gives root access to the OPM database to a foreign national.

The question to keep asking WaPo is who is their source. WaPo has such a long Felt need to source anonymously...we really need to know who's fellating whom this time.

And some people with chips on their shoulder might think this was directed at them. It was not. It was directed at the middle school history guy at the other end of the bar. Wait..he would never be in a bar!

After WaPo wipes the egg off their face over this last one, the may pivot and blame Rump for leaking this to the Post just to make them look bad. Now that I might believe.

Claven, you're a collosal bore

I've always been bored with people who think it's funny to make up new names for themselves and attack people. What, do they think, they are some character in a novel? That commenting is some art form? It's Althousuan pretension.

I agree chick, on a few things, but particularly the egg on WaPo's face along with those taking the story as anything but idiocy from WaPo. I just walked past the work TV, today on FoxNews, with some Trump hater taking about the damage of leaking information and that Trump should provide a transcript of the discussion. That's quite a bit of stupid in that request. If the media had any intelligence; they'd treat such people like readers of The Sun in the grocery line.

The media is a complicit intrigue fakery factory. That's all they are now. Creating drama like a Hollywood shit-show for the consumption of the low-hanging fruit mouth-breathing retard viewer. They will take kernels and nuggets of information and out of whole cloth create these fabricated fictions to implicate Trump and his administration as being inept and incompetent and now leakers of classified information to none other than the *GASP* Russians!!!

What's it going to be MSM? You might as well call Trump the great brilliant billionaire genius idiot dealmaking insidiously nefarious sinister buffoon. There, did I cover all of the MSM bases on their characterization of this guy? At this point, why even bother posting or talking about anything the media even puts out into the ether? It's all fucking bullshit. All of it.

Everyone had one scoop of ice cream, but Trump had *GASP* two. OH NOES!!! EVIL RUSSIAN COLLUSION!!! If it wasn't so fucking stupid to watch, I'd say that these people should all be in a fucking straight jacket and thrown into a padded room.

Very few articles mention the nature of the information that was shared, because it's so totally anodyne. It's not like he revealed the name of our CIA station chief in Afghanistan or anything.

All these stories are framed to be about how Trump is seen through the eyes of people who hate him and that's just not news (except in the sense that it's news that they're just that unhinged).

Plus, it's the sort of thing you'd share to get some goddam cooperation from the Russians in blitzing these ISIS

You say that like that share things, but the Obama Administration ignored Russia terrorist warnings. Why should we help them now?
