"Megyn Kelly Is Leaving Fox News for NBC"

Megyn Kelly, who arrived at Fox News 12 years ago as a television news neophyte but rose to become one of its two biggest stars, has decided to leave the network to take on a broad new role at NBC News for an undisclosed salary, NBC announced Tuesday afternoon.

The NBC News chairman, Andrew Lack, wooed Ms. Kelly away from Fox News by offering her a triple role in which she will host her own daytime news and discussion program, anchor an in-depth Sunday night news show and take regular part in the network’s special political programming and other big-event coverage.

The move will herald a seismic shift in the cable news landscape, where Ms. Kelly had become the second-most watched host — after Bill O’Reilly of Fox News — and often helped define the national political debate, especially over the last year as Donald J. Trump regularly attacked her, at times in viciously personal terms.

Ms. Kelly’s exit will upend Fox News’s vaunted prime-time lineup and inject a new dose of tumult just a few months after the departure of the network’s powerful founding chairman, Roger Ailes, who was ousted after several women made allegations that he sexually harassed them.

Lem?

Why didn't you use my tag for Megyn Kelly?

She'll be a good fit there where she can specialize in anti-Trump coverage.

Trump attacked Kelly? I wonder whether she understands, to this day, what a boost it was for Trump when he swatted away her "You're a misogynist" attack in the first debate. How did it help him? HE DIDN'T APOLOGIZE!

Trump, heading to the White House, Megyn heading to NBC. I would tell her to do the math, but that would be unfair.

I figured this was coming- she has been off the air for about the last 4-5 weeks. They have a bunch of talented replacements..Shannon Bream, my fav Martha McCallum and others.

I hope Tucker Carlson gets her spot. I used to think he was a dink, but he's clearly changed his tune a little and has become palatable at directly attacking leftists and their bullshit.

I can add Megyn Kelly to the list of people who have never been in my kitchen.

Well, i think I heard it said somewhere that if she is leaving now, the place will stop smelling like mildew and rotting pickles. Just saying.

I really like Shannon Bream, I hope she gets the spot! Recently, I commented to my husband that I really enjoyed her classic, unemotional interview style. She doesn't seem to inject any bias. Megyn has been snide and sneering for months and months and it has turned her into a very unattractive woman from my perspective.

I like McCallum as well, but not as much as Shannon.

Megyn is going to be a flop at NBC, just like every other liberal there. Good riddance.

Darcy, congrats on your nuptials. I never got a chance to say so. I wish you eternal happiness. :D

Megyn started out great; she's smart and can be a sharp and clever interviewer. Something happened along the way. My guess is that someone told her she could be even more popular, like Katie Couric or Barbara Walters. She bought into an outdated role model fantasy and now she's on NBC, Must Avoid TV, famous for Fatuous Fluffy Haired Liars and Corporate Hypocrisy. There are a lot of perfectly good people at Fox to take her place.
