Bono, like the noted anti-Semite Roger Waters of Pink Floyd fame, is an out and proud supporter of open borders. Bono mocks Trump for retro-blocking the Irish diaspora to America. How many Syrian refugees has Eire taken in?
But they have so much in common! They both avoid taxes on an epic scale, for one. Bono was last seen being whisked away from a refugee-instigated mass killing in France so it's difficult to understand how he can't grasp the objections to open borders.
I don't favor the wall for reasons of effectiveness, cost, and optics. There are just much better ways to stop the problem, and I definitely don't favor open borders. The question I always ask open-borders people is: "If some stranger snuck into your house and just started living there without asking, would that be cool with you? What's the difference?" That always results in a change of subject. It's not even like a homeless person doing it. It's just someone who prefers your house to their own, because you took care of yours.
What politicians do in California and much of the country is effectively put out a sign on everyone else's lawn that says "Welcome, come enjoy free education, welfare, healthcare and much more. No questions asked."
Okay, I just started listening to this bilge and had to turn it off. How embarrassing. Didn't this guy used to be a rock star? Now reduced to propping up an appalling old fascist. Awful. Maybe they've got some nasty secrets on him and he's being extorted.
He's demonstrating enormous courage, you know. Arguing with a video, that can't talk back. I never liked his music, but he used to be a decent fair guy by leftist celebrity standards. He praised Bush for his work and attention to Africa, when praising Bush would get you disinvited to the blow parties.
Suppose we abolish the borders keeping unpaid Bono fans out of his concert arenas? Suppose we force rock legends to use only solar generated power for amplification? The list of obvious hypocrisies is easy to compile.
The Irish have always been grade A hypocrites. And the politicians who use them are even worse.
That asshole Peter King who you hear all over the place talking about Muslim terror was the Number One supporter of the IRA in the Congress when they were the premier terrorist organization in the world.
I was listening to Ross Kaminski on the radio this AM. He was talking about how late night comedy shows are now all propaganda for the left. Played a clip of Seth Myers calling Mike Pence a liar on his "comedy show". Ross interviewed a retired writer for the Jay Leno show, and they both discussed how comedy is no longer comedy - it's all propaganda for one political party.

BTW, is it OK to fat shame Bono's new Chaz look?
I have no problem - why should I? - with anyone's wealth and it is obvious that a nation without borders is doomed.
So what again is Bono's problem with Trump?
Bet it's news to The Donald.
Ricpic: My guess is that rich guys like Bono are Clinton Foundation bonors and they don't want to see their money gone to waste.

My first impression was that Bono was spurring his bleech but I don't think he's stage drinker like Madonna.

Old man yells at cloud.
He TOTALLY DESTROYED that photo of Trump, man.
Bono seldom showers and smells like a NYC cab driver.

On effectiveness and cost, ask the many countries who have built them, Israel, in particular.
As for optics, who cares? That's a Whig thing.
I'm coming in through blogger dashboard to coordinate posts but hesitant because I'm afraid as soon as I do then you're going to step on it.
Say what?
Post whatever. I am done for tonight. Sorry if I jumped on one of your posts but I haven't been paying attention.
Bono - another wealthy celebrity who will gain access to more power and perks with a She-Chavez win.

OK, that's clever-- "She-Chavez".
How about "Seizure Chavez" when she hispanders to the wrong type?
Seizure Chavez. LOL.
I hate U2 now. The entire band - all pricks.
Thanks, AA.
"Seizure Shevez" has a ring to it as well! Sort of a hybrid of ours both!
It does have a ring to it. "Seizure Chavez" - I say we roll with it.
I give you full credit but I'm going to steal it!
There are no pro Bono comments at that YouTube video. This gives me hope.

Well, you can still enjoy Roy Orbison performing one of their songs just before his death: Mystery Girl
It's really a gorgeous song, written for him by Bono and The Edge.
Pro Bono - good one. Did he name his child "Cui"?
Sonny?
Yeah, it's been done, but I am pretty sure I have never heard any of his music. No one ever thought to Cher it with me.
