This is how Democrats bait Donald Trump

"Calling Trump ‘Unfit,’ Obama Urges G.O.P. to Abandon Him"
“The question they [GOP] have to ask themselves is: If you are repeatedly having to say in very strong terms that what he has said is unacceptable, why are you still endorsing him?” Mr. Obama said at a news conference at the White House.
Mr. Obama said that in addition to Mr. Trump’s comments about the Khan family, the Republican nominee had demonstrated that he was “woefully unprepared to do this job.” The president said Mr. Trump lacked knowledge about Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
“This isn’t a situation where you have an episodic gaffe. This is daily,” Mr. Obama added. “There has to be a point at which you say, this is not somebody I can support for president of the United States, even if he purports to be a member of my party. The fact that that has not yet happened makes some of these denunciations ring hollow.”

Interesting that instead of "extremely careless" Hillary saying this, It's Obama calling Trump unfit.

Trump's response should be his success at running a business compared to Hillary's list of international failures from Russia to Iraq to Libya to Syria. Can we talk about Hillary and Obama's backing of Hugo Chavez?

The GOP are the problem. They are more concerned about kissing the Muslims and wernack asses then winning the election.

What are you talking about? These were the backers of Jeb!, Grahamnesty, Little Marco, Christie, and (stealth) the One True Ted.

The Whigs were never going to back Trump. If they want to walk, let 'em, they've always let down the voters anyway.

They're the people who can't wait to reach out to their friends actoss the aisle in the Democrat party.

Trump: Go on the offensive against Hillary, the Media and Obama too (if you have to) but mostly Hillary. She is target number 1.

But don't be vulgar, we don't want to offend anyone, right?

Actually, her failures go back to the reset with Russia, but you've got his tack.

Looks like The Donald's "bungled" strategy hit a nerve, Khan has deleted his law firm's pay-to-play website.

And calling Khan (and Pope Frank) on the Terror Has Nothing To Do With Islam thing. How dare he?

Also, Trump's response to Pissy's hissy fit.

Way too disrespectful, right, guys?

One more thing, looks like the NSA has Cacklepants' deleted emails.

This is why we're hearing about the valiant, suffering Khans.

Smart!

Oh, yes, because the father of an American soldier is immediately sanctified and washed of his sins. And because the father has a vested interest in making sure Cacklepants is elected so she can quintuple the number of Moslems she's already imported into the country.

Try these on for size - Khan is a big fan of sharia.

Not to mention the connection from his law firm, a Saudi front, to the Ozark Mafia Global Slush Fund through vast Saudi donations.

If this guy's getting $15 an hr, he sure is overpaid.

Patrick said...

The fight is really working well for him, isn't it. There are a zillion ways you attack HRC, and dumb Don attacks this guy. Sad!

You may think it's not fair that your guy gets grief for this, but it is an easily predictable reality. His only chance you win is you relentlessly attack HRC's character and record. He chooses to waste his time on this. Just dumb.

I'm Full of Soup said...

What Patrick said. It is dumb and sad that Trump may be blowing this opportunity.

Like any good Cruzzer, he will ignore the fact Khan is hardly the paragon of virtue the media wants him to be regarded as being.

Also, like any other Cruzzer, he ignores the fact that there's an important policy issue here.

The point is not who's right, the point is attack Trump.

Wonder if he's getting paid from Hillary's PAC or McConnell's.

edutcher said...

This would never have happened if the One True Ted had stolen the nomination the way Hillary did. The One True Ted would have said something about Heidi walking in expressway traffic and let it go.

Right?

Of course, the One True Ted would never be gauche enough to put a hold on Moslem immigration..

That might impact Goldman Sachs' cash flow.

I'm Full of Soup said...

Ed- do you really think the average voter is paying attention to what Mr. Khan did or did not do as an immigration lawyer or with his website? Get a grip - Trump is shooting himself in the foot - why didn't Trump focus all weekend on the crappy GDP numbers? Or Hillary's serial lying on Fox news Sunday ? Because he was too busy trying to get the last ugly word in on the Khan debacle.

He needs to pick 5-6 themes and hammer them home every day after day.

edutcher said...

AJ, do you think the average voter is paying attention at all?

It's the first week of August. Anybody who isn't on vacation is getting ready to watch the sludge Olympics in Rio.

This is all battlespace prep. See if they can get him to back down on something. Slime him as much as they can.

Fact is, they will go from one sacred cow, at least in the eyes of Whigs like Patrick, to another until he can't make any objection at all.

And then there's the issue of putting a hold on Moslem immigration, which the Whigs denounce as much as the Demos (funny that), which is what's really at stake.

But, no, we must be nice at all costs and let the Lefties slime us without complaint because we must be good, obedient sheep, mustn't we?

AJ Lynch said...

Ed - has he picked 5-6 yet?

Lat week I started to watch his speech on Friday afternoon I think and he started off by whining about Mike Bloomberg's DNC speech. My reaction was "this guy is wasting a great opportunity by acting like he probably does when he vents endlessly to his underlings in a staff meeting".

You ask who is paying attentio yet? How about the people in that crowd listening to Trump ramble or people working at that venue or people, like me, home early from work and tuning in to see what he has to say.

I'm Full of Soup said...

Ed :

Trump was 1st to say he was against TPP. He should point that out every day and also point out that now Hillary and the Dems are also against it.
He should remind people that he blasted the damaging job losses from NAFTA first and now even Hillary is saying "we should re-negotiate bad trade agreements".
He should point out that polls report that 65% or more of Americans support a temporary ban on Muslim immigrants.

He should do this stuff every day.

You ask who is paying attentio yet? How about the people in that crowd listening to Trump ramble or people working at that venue or people, like me, home early from work and tuning in to see what he has to say

Guess what? They're paying attention because they're angry. And they've been with him while everybody else was bitching about how mean he was and how it was no way to win the nomination. And they're filling up the venues to the point they're being turned away. But the majority that will determine who wins is still more concerned about their tan or the size of Kim Cardassian's ass.

Trump was 1st to say he was against TPP. He should point that out every day and also point out that now Hillary and the Dems are also against it

He's talked about it again and again. You guys are so busy nitpicking, I guess it went past you.

He should remind people that he blasted the damaging job losses from NAFTA first and now even Hillary is saying "we should re-negotiate bad trade agreements".

Why is she saying it? Because he's used it on her like a club.

I linked this before, but you guys were busy bitching, it went right past you, so I'll put it up again.

Instead of raising millions of dollars from nefarious sources to run mean, hateful, nasty ads against his opponents, Trump is taking his message to the people.
That's because Trump is an amateur. He is not an experienced, conniving insider like Hillary. Trump actually thinks ideas work.

He has them.
1. Stop illegal aliens, build a wall, and deport them.
2. Renegotiate trade deals.
3. Makeover NATO.
4. Cut corporate taxes.
5. Ban immigration from hostile Muslim nations until we can sort out the bad guys from the good.

Above all, put America first.

BTW I put up stuff about how they're in crisis mode at the DNC and what do I hear? Crickets.

I put up Khan has deleted his website, which shows, the slug feels the need to cover his tracks, and everybody's "No, he's winning, CNN says so".

I put up Trump's response - which focuses on Hillary- to Pissy's hissy fit, which is a sure sign something's bad in Demo Town, and nobody even looked at it.

You guys don't care what Trump does, you just like bitching about him because your guy - or girl - lost.

Obama's endorsement is the kiss of death.

It is hilarious that Obama's saying Trump is unqualified. Wasn't that the complaint about Obama? He had every election handed to him and, while in office, hadn't done jack shit other than show up and vote present. And Clinton is self-pre-disqualified. She's been compromised and has a lengthy proven track record of constant lying and grifting. To Obama, that's probably a plus, though. Great experience.
This khan man shit is not good, and could have been (easily) handled better. But most of us see it for what it is: the same old same old moldy leftist media double standard fraudulence. Now with weepy muslims. Doofus-tested, whore-approved.
The Khan family politicized their grief. They're not immune from criticism. Last time this happened, the Republicans fell all over themselves being nice to Cindy Sheehan and what did it get them? Nothing whatsoever. It just allowed the Dems to keep pushing their fiction about Bush lied persons died and cover their own tracks. Everyone knows that Khan is political. Why would he be speaking at the Clinton convention otherwise? She voted for the Iraq War, after all. Plus, Pat Smith didn't exactly get the kid glove treatment, not by a long shot. Clinton supporters excoriated the poor woman for telling the truth and nobody on tv called for an apology.
Trump does need to get focused and back on track. Also, he should always always always remember to question every premise when he's being interviewed.

She's afraid of reveling the true Hillary. This woman has never been subjected to 1/10 the number of hostile questions that Trump has. She's a corrupt liar and everyone knows it.

Thank God Trump was nominated because, despite having the MSM Moderator in her corner, Trump will subject Hillary to some real hostile questions and demand answers.

Trump was chosen by his supporters precisely for this quality that you fail to appreciate.

Wrong in your assessment that he is the ONE candidate who cannot beat Hillary, no, he is the ONE candidate immune to standard DNC attacks. Immune to groveling for money like all the other candidates. It did take a billionaire to crash the system holding us all slaves to worn out ragged duopoly.

Even while Democrat party disintegrates. Even as they continue to press because this pathetic line of attack is all they have.

Trump tore GOP a brand new asshole. No apologies if that hurts.

And now with the help of Wikileaks and Guccifer we see their sausage factory split open for all the world to examine. They're dropping like flies. Right now. Today. Hillary cannot attract a crowd.

I thought you said he was invincible. Buffett said he's hiding something politically harmful in his secret tax returns.

Oh ed. Somehow you will turn back this conspiracy against Candidate Kryptonite Superpower Invincible.

But I would like to know why you're getting so defensive, in the meantime. I mean, he does have the support after all of Chachi.

I'm not sure there's really much point in reading Compulsive Ed. That rapid-fire response software was apparently uploaded without the programming suite of "Be responsive to the actual question and see if you can answer it." I mean, even Mike Pence couldn't offer any response to another military mom who objected to the Khan episode and Trump Team Boos by saying, hey that's free speech! Ain't America great?

Buffett's no fan of progressives, or of economic nationalism, you say? Maybe so. But I don't doubt that he knows business and businessmen. Again, is there a businessman or partner who's with Trump? This should cut across whatever politics he supports. You figure at least one or two prominent names would come out in support.

We can avoid the Khan episode, if you want. But democracy won't. I'd give the Vegas odds of an America that sticks up for a gold star family and fallen of any religion to an America that hates Muslims too much to even make an allowance for that at 2 to 1, at the lowest. But maybe I understand America and what matters to it less well than Trump does.

First off - they work for me, not me for them. If I want to hire neither, that's their problem. If the one that gets hired does so by virtue of a smaller hiring committee than ever before, then that only hurts the hired candidate's legitimacy and sets the stage for a more involved and better candidate at the end of their tenure.

Second, there are red and purple and blue states. Third parties deserve all the support we can give them in the former and latter, since the duopoly's candidates are "safe" in those states anyway. Unless your state is purple, a swing state, truly in play, the biggest disservice you can do is to not vote 3rd party. Get them enough votes and they'll be on the next cycle's debates and gain access to all the same federal funds that the rotting two parties horde for themselves while shutting everyone else out.

I think Trump's response to the Khans was inelegant but honest and human. Compare his response with that of Hillary to the Benghazi mom. Hillary's words were carefully crafted and showed no distinguishable human emotion. I give Trump the advantage, but my response is not necessarily that of the electorate..........I recognize that the Khans are Gold Star parents. In public you have to say nice things about them, and they did truly suffer a grievous loss. But in private and here on the Internet, you can say that there's a lot about them that doesn't ring true. If the father is that sanctimonious about the Constitution, you can just guess how rabid he is about the Koran and Sharia Law. I'm sure the mother wears head garb to show her support for all the women in Islamic lands who are made to wear restrictive and uncomfortable clothes. They can spout the liberal western pieties, but I don't get the sense that they're completely down with western values......These are things you can say anonymously on the Internet, but you just can say them out loud in a political campaign.

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

And Roger Stone is about as cracked as Hillary's surrogates. No one will read that silly Breitbart piece.

Keep on cheerleading though, ed. You want some pom-poms? Let me know. If you're really nice, we can also get you a small school color sweater and pleated miniskirt.

We wouldn't want Melania showing you up, ed. You have to look at least as good as she does.

But feel free to pat yourself on the back for the lopsided extra and completely meaningless votes for the party in the state that inevitably goes to that party. I'm sure the shitheads and the RNC and DNC will greatly appreciate all the extra power and bloated display of support that they didn't already need - to make them feel more popular and justified than they never were already. Rein Priebus and Debbie Wasserman Schultz - just really great Americans doing really wonderful things for the country. Let's inflate their sense of support and make them feel that their candidates really are popular enough to collectively get 95+% of the vote. That's one hell of a democracy. edutcher said...

Let me say this.

If you've spent any time following politics, one thing you learn is how the Left operates. You see how they play their little games and how the media backs them up.

One way or another, I've been exposed to this stuff since the Army McCarthy hearings. The first convention I saw was in '56 and any time there was something on the news (Suez, Kefauver), we had it going. When things changed was in '64 when the Lefty game was on display for all to see; they've just embellished it since.

When you know how they work, you know who can beat them and how. You can't be nice and you have to be quick. Give them a news cycle and they own the narrative. Trump gets that, a lot of other people don't.

The point is what's the big issue, not how it looks. This was about making importing the Moslems inviolate. Now that the truth comes out, it's going to be tougher to push it.

You always have to have an overview.

William, well said. Yes that is all true. Mitt Romney can tell you about the 49% and dogs on his roof.

Trump is in the "big game" now and so far (at least from the conventions) he is blowing it. I am not sure he is capable of winning but he should be ten points ahead of Hillary and he is probably somewhere between five and ten points behind. This is all unforced errors (of course with a very hostile press).

Can he turn it around, of course. But that requires reversing course.

That does not mean Trump should lay down like Romney did. Mitt was way too cautious. Trump needs to take the fight to Hillary (and the media). All the time. Don't be distracted by bait.
