The "most hated man in America" says Hillary has parkinsons

See what I did there?

Who was, a very short time ago, "the most hated man in America"?... From Wikipedia...
Martin Shkreli is an American entrepreneur and pharmaceutical executive. He is co-founder of the hedge fund MSMB Capital Management, co-founder and former chief executive officer (CEO) of the biotechnology firm Retrophin, and founder and former CEO of Turing Pharmaceuticals. In September 2015, Shkreli received widespread criticism when Turing obtained the manufacturing license for the antiparasitic drug Daraprim and raised its price by 5,556 percent (from US$13.5 to US$750 per tablet) leading him to be referred to by media as the "most hated man in America".

I will resume watching - Noted he starts off by saying he's not partisan. Then he says he has given more money to democrats. (ok) Then you'll see the Bernie sticker in the back.

lolz.

(what makes a person partisan is if they give to Republicans) (If you give to democrats, you're non-partisan. )

The Blonde's eldest brother has Parkinson's and he's going downhill at a horrific rate, not even recognizing his sister most of the time.

For those interested, the Parkinson's foundation website also lists non-motor symptoms, which include dementia.

If this guy is right, April and nd are willing to support a mental defective for President to spite Donald Trump.

I lost a good friend to Parkinson's, it's a bad way to go.

But doing a remote DDX I have to disagree. I see no tremors, Parkinson's patients end up speaking in a whisper, and none of other major symptoms listed there are apparent.

I am going to stick with brain damage due to a stroke, caused by a fall, which resulted from intoxication, and continue down that line - she probably has impaired liver function, a fatty liver, a need to drink to avoid the DTs, a lung or throat issue due to a life time of over imbibing, and is starting to suffer from seizures due to shrinkage of her brain.

Symptoms of cirrhosis: Fatigue, yellowing of the skin (jaundice), itching, swelling from fluid buildup in the legs (edema), bruising easily and having heavy nosebleeds, redness of the palms, small red spots and tiny lines on the skin called spider angiomas, frequent infections, confusion.

Cirrhosis are red, ci-violets are blue...

I have my disagreements with ed, God bless him he has the One True Ted living rent free in his head, but I don't doubt where he stands. Nick gives jaundiced somewhat standoffish advice about where this race is going (like I do) but I know both Nick and I really want Crooked Hillary to lose.

I honestly cannot tell where you are coming from. You give lip service to wanting Hillary to lose and then spend 90% of the time saying Trump is an idiot and we will lose.

If you really believe that, you might as well drink brandy old fashions all day. I like Trump gave his economic speech today. I hope for more of the same. You gave a short comment saying you liked it. Why not spend a day praising Trump for that, rather than tearing him down. You would not parent a kid like that, would you?

No, a lot of them are looking at Jill Stein, just the way they did in '00 with Ralph Nader. The BlackLives crowd is talking about staying home.

The Reagan Democrats will go for Trump.

That's why the cacophony of phony stories on CNN and MSLSD, it's why all the skewed polls.

She's in that much trouble.

In Ed world - No democrats / No democrat media bias. Sky is purple.

Trump is an idiot who will likely lose. Yes. Again. I have no idea why that is so confusing.

Lessee, he's got an MBA from Wharton and built a multi-billion dollar empire on his own. Yeah, idiots do that all the time.

Sure, that's why so many Lefties are saying he can win, up to and including Van Jones.

Hey, but who needs to listen? April is so sure she's already got the party for Hillary ready.

Evi L. Bloggerlady said...

ed, the danger of pretending Trump is actually winning is you get a false sense of security. Isn't it better to err on being cautious (on outcomes) than overly confident? That does not mean Trump should be overly cautious in attacking or his own mojo, he should relentlessly attack Hillary.

And April, why bother telling us yet again we are all doomed for the 1000th time. We got it, thank for your opinion. What's your point? To depress us so we all stay home? As much as I may disagree with ed pretending everything is great and dragging up his "One True Ted" obsession, your pessimism wears thin. Seriously, if you really want Hillary to lose, this is not the way to do it.

The truth lies in the middle. Trump can win, it is not as bad as the media (or April) make out, but there is more work to do. Primarily, Trump has to keep the fight focused on Hillary Clinton. Right up till November.

ed, the danger of pretending Trump is actually winning is you get a false sense of security. Isn't it better to err on being cautious (on outcomes) than overly confident?

You look at the facts and you make your judgments.

Between now and election day, I expect the Demos to pull every dirty trick they can think of. So where am I overly confident? To say at this point in a campaign, using the Lefties' own polls, he's dead even is pretty good, when you look at the history. Usually, the R is way back at this point, so I say he's doing pretty well.

Do I wish he were 20 points ahead? Sure, but do you think the Lefties would admit that? Either you believe the Lefties are lying to us or you don't. April only believes what she wants to. I believe they're lying. We have solid evidence many of these pollsters are using an 8 point skew and you try to figure what the truth is. We all know the polls are rigged, so you take it into consideration.

But here's a fact, a week after Hillary's dead cat bounce and the Khan game, the polls - the ones out the last few days, not a week or more old - say it's back to dead even. You were so horribly panicked, but, after that "terrible" week, the race is a long way from over.

I expect more bad "news" from the Lefty media, but I also intend to try to find what the real facts are, not just take the Lefties' word for it.

You can be a Whig and clutch your pearls, I intend to stay calm.

ndspinelli said...

Both Hillary and Trump are disliked. Trump supporters insist it isn't true. Trump is secretly much more popular than conventional wisdom permits. The polls are all lies.

I speak to actual humans outside of this blog and none of them like either candidate. None of them. I find it unusual, but it is the reality of this election. I think it's downright sad, pathetic and nuts that we selected the worst possible most disliked candidate to face her. His negatives are higher than hers! but I better not point that out, or you'll think I want Hillary to win. or something.

Evi L. Bloggerlady said...

April,

I find there is a reserve of Trump support that is out there. Hidden. Troop and ed are right about that. How big that is remains to be seen. I doubt it is YUGE, but it is definitely a few points at least.

Is Trump getting 10% of blacks? I doubt it, not based solely on the LA Times poll ed is relying on, but Trump could get 10% of blacks if he tried. I bet he could do even better than that. I encourage him to do so.

As for Latinos, Trump is doing as least as good as Romney. That tells you Hillary is not at all popular with Latinos (and Trump is not quite as hated as little Jorge Ramos would lead you to believe). Again, I see an opportunity for Trump to beat expectations there too.

I do recall we discussed here one poll that said he was doing as well as Nixon - 26% support.

We don't really know because the polls are crooked (if you tell me they're honest, I'm going to be very disappointed in you). I'll tell you this, and it's an article of faith in american politics, if the Rs get 5% of the black vote, the Demos lose.

We do know Bernie took the black vote in MI when he won the state from Hillary, so the black vote is angry this year. BlackLives is talking about staying home, so figure it out for yourself.

As for Latinos, Trump is doing as least as good as Romney. That tells you Hillary is not at all popular with Latinos (and Trump is not quite as hated as little Jorge Ramos would lead you to believe). Again, I see an opportunity for Trump to beat expectations there too.

This hinges on the fact not all Hispanics see the world the same way. They are not monolithic. If he gets any significant Hispanic support and, again, even though he lest the state, Bernie took the Hispanic vote in IL.

Inside the mammoth poll - which has an A+ rating

Clinton’s 59 point lead among non-white voters is nearly identical to Barack Obama’s 58 point win with this group in 2012 (78% to 20%) according to the National Election Pool’s exit poll. However, Trump’s 5 point lead among white voters is off the 20 point mark Mitt Romney set four years ago (59% to 39%).

The main factor behind the current GOP nominee’s underperformance among white voters is his lack of support among white women with a college degree. Trump holds sizable leads among white men without a college degree (31 points; 56% to 25%), white men with a college degree (11 points; 45% to 34%), and white women without a college degree (17 points; 49% to 32%). These point spreads are similar to how Romney did with these groups in 2012 when he won white men without a college degree by 31 points (64% to 33%), white men with a college degree by 21 points (59% to 38%), and white women without a college degree by 20 points (59% to 39%). Among white women with a college degree, though, Trump is actually trailing Clinton by 30 points (27% to 57%). Romney narrowly won this group by 6 points in 2012 (52% to 46%).

"That’s the whole campaign in two paragraphs. Clinton’s doing what she needs to do to replicate Obama’s winning coalition in 2012 — minorities, women, younger adults — whereas Trump’s not doing what he needs to do to replicate Romney’s losing coalition, let alone building on it to win nationally. He’s winning among white voters overall but far below Romney’s pace thanks in part to that amazing 30-point lead Hillary has among white college-educated women. The hard truth for recent Republican nominees is that they’re largely “niche” candidates, although they’re not often thought of that way because their niche, white voters, is still a majority of the electorate. Trump’s problem is that he’s a niche-within-a-niche candidate, appealing mostly to less-educated whites."

Ah, but we aren't.

Yeah, he does have an ego, but you don't build a multibillion dollar empire without one. And he has done some good in this world, unsolicited, unsung in many cases. And he's raised what seem to be some pretty good kids. So I don't seem him as the equal of Hillary. I see him as a guy who has made a fortune in this country and now he wants to give something back.

We can’t solve our problems by relying on the politicians who created them.

Only by changing to new leadership, and new solutions, will we get new results.

We need to stop believing in politicians, and start believing in America.

Before everything great that has ever happened, the doubters have always said it couldn’t be done.

America is ready to prove the doubters wrong.

They want you to think small. I am asking you to think big.

We are ready to dream great things for our country once again.

We are ready to show the world that America is Back – Bigger, and Better and Stronger Than Ever Before."

One of the best bits of advise for Trump is to stop saying Hillary is "unstable".
Helpful tips from my link above.

She's corrupt. She's a liar. Say so, Trump.

"Resist the temptation to talk about anything else. Attacking gold star families is a bad and counterproductive idea on its own merits, but there’s another reason it should be avoided: It does nothing to reinforce the aforementioned populist message. Additionally, calling Hillary Clinton “mentally unstable” does nothing to advance his cause. Saying Hillary is “unstable” lacks verisimilitude, while saying she’s “an insider who doesn’t tell the truth” actually passes the smell test.

(Note: The point here is not to say that Trump shouldn’t attack Clinton, but to say the attacks should be part of a larger, coherent, message. Both Hillary Clinton and the media would prefer to talk about Trump’s rants and scandals rather than Clinton’s failings. Clinton will continue to set traps, bating Trump to respond to them — rather than stick to his populist message."

A key reason to vote for Trump is to change Americas energy policy;

"Also critical to our economic renewal will be energy reform

The Obama-Clinton Administration has blocked and destroyed millions of jobs through their anti-energy regulations, while raising the price of electricity for both families and businesses.

As a result of recent Obama EPA actions coal-fired power plants across Michigan have either shut down entirely or undergone expensive conversions. The Obama-Clinton war on coal has cost Michigan over 50,000 jobs. Hillary Clinton says her plan will “put a lot of coal companies and coal miners out of business.”

We will put our coal miners and steel workers back to work.

Clinton not only embraces President Obama’s job-killing energy restrictions but wants to expand them, including going after oil and natural gas production that employs some 10 million Americans.

According to the Heritage Foundation, by 2030, the Obama-Clinton energy restrictions will eliminate another half a million manufacturing jobs, reduce economic output by $2.5 trillion dollars, and reduce incomes by $7,000 dollars per person.

A Trump Administration will end this war on the American worker, and unleash an energy revolution that will bring vast new wealth to our country.

According to the Institute for Energy Research, lifting the restrictions on all sources of American energy will:

Increase GDP by more than $100 billion dollars annually, add over 500,000 new jobs annually, and increase annual wages by more than $30 billion dollars over the next 7 years;
Increase federal, state, and local tax revenues by almost $6 trillion dollars over 4 decades;
Increase totaleconomic activity by more than $20 trillion dollars over the next 40 years."

Reason enough to vote for Trump. It is a binary choice. Period.

Or maybe the other Mambo King, who couldn't even win by cheating. Imagine the fun the Demos would have had with him.

And, if you wanted to win, you'd be doing everything to win, not to lose.

BTW a little something on the folly of quoting the Gray Lady from someone who knows just a tad more about politics than you.

If you’re a reporter or pundit and believe that Mr. Trump is evil, or at least bad, “you have to throw out the textbook American journalism has been using for the better part of the past half-century, if not longer, and approach it in a way you’ve never approached anything in your career,” Jim Rutenberg, the “mediator” at The New York Times, wrote Monday. “If you view a Trump presidency as something that’s potentially dangerous, then your reporting is going to reflect that.”

What I think is a better strategy is to toute the positive things Trump is doing and saying. Point out Hillarys lies. But don't make it personal. I understand why that is hard especially when they attack your wife to get to you.

If you want to believe that sludge If you really listen to Trump now - he's not going for the brass ring because it makes you feel better, feel free. Nobody in his right mind believes Trump's come this far to give up now.

April wants somebody screeching all the time the same thing. Guess what? People get bored. The Comey thing is old news.

More to the point, Hillary's health is what's scaring the Hell out of the media. You go with the hot hand. And I can remember when April wanted all the wonky policy papers - she gets them and it's not enough.

We're right back to where we were before the Khan game and that's fine. Let her blow all her money on ads that don't reach anybody. Let the media say more and more idiotic things that are being heard by nobody. Let them wear themselves out.

You know where most people are?

Finishing up their sun tans, watching the Olympics, getting the kids ready for school. It's another month before most people even start thinking about the election and, even then, most will be waiting for the debates, if they even happen, which I doubt.

So quote the Gray Lady and Puffington all you want. Tell us the biased polls reflect reality.

It don't mean a damn thing until Labor Day.

April, I sort of missed you when you were gone but you have come back shriller than ever. I know we all have different opinions, but you are a one trick pony on what a bad choice Trump is.

Ok, we really do get what your position is.

I do not want to step out of place because this is Lem's place, but at least engage ed or others in why Hillary sucks or what Trump could do to win your vote. Or let's talk about something completely outside politics. No one wants a nag (and do you really want to be one). I am guessing ed does not get that at home. Now I find ed a bit chidy too on occasion and a bit loose on how he remembers things (as in making up complete fabrications in his mind), but I know it is not personal and he is just that way. He just really supports Trump. I know where he is coming from.

I want Hillary to lose, so I want Trump to win. I have very low expectations beyond that so if Trump does well (or even mediocre), I will be pleasantly surprised. I know things will be really bad if Hillary wins. It really is that simple.

This is not a hard decision.

edutcher said...

E, you were asking why I wasn't panicked. My answer is above.

Yeah, I know the weight of all that propaganda seems awesome and it's tough listening to slanted polls, but I think the trick is perspective. You understand what's going on and you can separate the wheat from the chaff.

Scarborough said the campaign is entirely "a marketing ploy" that has tapped into racial tensions among some voters.

"It is all a marketing— he doesn't believe it," he said. "He doesn't believe Barack Obama was born in Kenya and I'm not defending him. I say this is even worse that you play it cynically. I've known the guy for 12 years, I've never heard him say the first thing that even resembles a racist remark. And he's just the type of person that if you were sitting around the table and somebody made a racist remark, he would raise his eyebrow and say, 'Are you kidding me? Where are you from, the 1950s?' This is all a scam. It's all a marketing routine ..."
