Paul Ryan won big.....Some people think that is a great idea!

It is instructive to see who celebrates the reelection of Paul Ryan.

Paul Ryan is a traitor.

Not to Donald Trump. He does not owe Donald Trump anything. Of course he pretended to endorse him while undermining him every chance he gets. Because the essence of Paul Ryan and both the Rhino's and the conservative establishment is deceit.

Paul Ryan is a traitor to the American People. He supports unrestrained immigration to take the jobs of American workers. He supports the importation of unrestrained Muslim refugees who are placed in Middle America to rape children. He surrendered to the Democrats and Obama's budget without a fight. He refuses to even attempt to pass Katie's law to deport criminal illegal aliens. He refused to meet with the families of the victims of violence by illegal immigrants. He is an agent of the duopoly. He works hand in glove with the Democrats to pass the agenda of the lobbyists and crony capitalists which is directly in conflict with interests of the American People.

Donald Trump is just a passing moment in the political history of the United States. Just like Sarah Palin and the tea party before him. Both of them lost. Lost big. The same people celebrated their defeat. They same people go on the cable shows to laugh and scoff at the politicians who are fighting for the actual interests of the American people. So if Trump loses they will do the same thing. They will think they have "won" something. What they have done is tighten the screws on the pressure cooker.

I ask that you stop and think about what you are praising. Take Donald Trump out of the equation. Stop and think if these politicians and their programs are in the best interest of the people. I submit that they are not. They have not been for a long time. Something has to change.

My point has been whether you liked Trump in January or not, if you were for one of the anti-Whig hopefuls, including Carson, Rand, Jindal, Walker, or even Santorum, you wanted Nehlen to win this one. It was a shot at the heart of the Uni-Party.

It's a tough loss because there were no reliable polls (and I wonder why) and you went a lot on faith. One thing I learned a long time ago (we had a hardcore Lefty named Bobby Edgar who was supposed to be representing us because our district had been gerrymandered to include parts of West Philly), you get a bad guy in there, you keep pounding at him, every time out, don't ever let him feel safe and, sure enough, you will nail him one day.

This piece, from Vanity Fair by way of Breitbart, says we may have won something, anyway.

In any case, I'd say no one here wanted Ryan to win, except one, because we all know what a symbol of bad government he is. We missed this time, but he was scared at the end, if you read what he was saying. We try again next time.

In the meantime, Junior is dead even with only one challenger and he's pushing 80, and Ayotte is down 10.

There are other fish to fry before November.

Ryan is in the same camp of Rubio, you can sell your soul pretty easily playing the game in D.C. Rubio got suckered in (eyes wide open of course) with Schumer and the boys. Ryan is gaming it on the House side. I don't hate either one of them, I am profoundly disappointed in them.

edutcher said...

Rubio is in a 5 way primary right now and I don't think he got the backing he wanted or needed after his plans to run for governor fell through, largely because he couldn't carry FL in the primary (which is a whole 'nother story).

I'm guessing, much like someone else, he's pretty well done in politics.

Trooper York said...

I don't ask anyone to hate.

Just realize who Paul Ryan is in reality. Who Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham and John McCain and all the rest really are.

They are traitors to the native born Americans who are the victims of the globalism. To their embrace of the duopoly and corrupt crony capitalism.

A new party needs to arise from the ashes of the failed Republican Party. A party by and for Americans. Who puts the interests of Americans first. Not migrants. Not illegal immigrants. Not the super rich business establishment. Not the lobbyists who do the bidding of the duopoly.

A Trump election would be a good start. But you know what. It might just be a band-aid on a gaping wound.

No one can do anything at all if they don't manage to get and stay elected.

I figure that Ryan has always been middling big-gov with ever so slight points toward fiscal responsibility. He ran for VP and was made out to be the next best thing to an economic Hitler. Extreme. Wants people to starve to death and die even though he's always been in and expressed himself as part of the "compassionate conservative" camp.

This is on account of anyone who gets on a Republican presidential ticket receives an immediate brain transplant with Hitler.

There's always something dreadfully wrong with everyone and I'm sort of tired of it. I have a facebook acquaintance who finds Trump horrifying but will foam at the mouth at the mention of Cruz. No one wanted another Bush, though Jeb might have been steady and sturdy and competent. Rubio? Would Rand Paul really have been a disaster? Would Fiorina really not been competent? It's like people have accepted this new thing where anyone who isn't your guy is Satan.

And we're being presented with Hillary, who almost couldn't win a fixed primary against crazy grandpa Bernie who didn't get the memo that the election was intended to be fixed.

But anyone she ran against would receive that same Hitler brain transplant, so there is no "better" than what we've got.

I just wish that we'd stop participating in this hyperbolic demonizing of politicians who disappoint us. Until a majority of voters demand the reforms that you or I or whoever wants, people who want to be elected are not going to do so either.

Trooper York said...

Ryan is the reason the Republican party will soon cease to exist. He issued a pro forma endorsement of Trump after hemming and hawing. Then with every controversy he runs to undermine him in the press by saying "That is not who we are." That's right. Someone who wants to get a handle on illegal immigration. Someone who doesn't want to import thousands of Muslim terrorists refugees. Right. That is not who he is.

Synova said...

"...recommends for steak in Amarillo..."

I think that steak in Amarillo is hard to get wrong... look for lots of cars in the parking lot, which is standard for "good food here". I would say, don't be silly and ask for it raw. It's still important to bring the outsides to germ killing temps or you'll spend the next couple of days being sorry.

You're right Troop. I'm afraid its going to take a cataclysmic disaster of some sort to wake people up. Whether its an economic or terrorist event or something else, people will have to have their lives and/or futures at risk before they start hanging the bastards.

Trooper York said...

Demonization? Ryan gets nothing but a tongue bath for selling America down the river.

If he is a conservative you can have it. There is no such thing as conservatism. He sold out to Obama by passing his budget. He refuses to even try to pass Katies Law. He did not even use techniques of the House by sending up separate funding bills to make Obama veto them. He gave him a free pass by putting it all in a omnibus bill.

He is a big part of the problem. A big big part. Bigger than even Hillary. At least she is honest in her corruption.

Hillary is much more honest in her corruption. Ryan and his ilk pretends that they have the best interest of the people at heart when he is a minion of the moneyed interests and the global elite. He is a charter member of the duopoly and nothing will ever change if he has anything to say about it.

Ryan is a sneak and a liar. He will build a wall around his house but not a wall to protect our border. He will make a pro-forma endorsement but never miss a chance to undermine the candidate in the press when he should just shut his fucking mouth.

This was only the first attempt to get him out of Congress. I hope they can find a better candidate next time.

That's the right wing perspective. Ask a bleeding heart lefty how "honest" the Clintons have been about their corruption. Actually, these days, ask 73% of the population (or whatever the latest polling is) about how honest and trustworthy Clinton has been about her corruption. The Clintons have lied constantly, daily, minutely. They say the scripted words about being "for the people" and against big bad biz all the while collecting obscene profits from big biz in exchange for favors. And that's just their domestic grifting; the foreigner policy stuff is even more corrupt and hypocritical. It's potentially treasonous. To an honest lefty, they are just as disgusting as the establishment liars on the right, who talk a good game about conservative policies and do nothing of any worth to advance them, are to righties.

I think Trump would remind people what this society is capable of achieving. We've had 8 years of April-style negativism and it does take a toll. Ask anybody who remembers the 70s and then saw what Reagan did in terms of the mood of the country.

He can't be the change by himself, but he can be a catalyst to a change in the people.

AprilApple said...

Uh - you are wrong. He lost! big! Just like Trump is winning!

You really are being an ass. The race is dead even, given Cacklepants is outspending Trump 15 - 1, I'd say that's pretty good. Once people get back from vaca, the Olympics (mercifully) end, and the kids get back to school, the race will tighten (always does - even the Demos admit it; sorry, April). The next big thing will be the debates - we'll see if they happen.

Ryan has gained himself few friends. If you want to put him in the same bag with the One True Ted and Little Marco, that's your thing.

Ryan is against Trump - that's why Ryan spoke at the convention and told everyone to vote for Trump.

He did? Ryan mostly talked about himself.

Seems like he's been "endorsing" since June, but there's always a catch. Some people can't ever seem to get the difference between being cute and being a fool.

I know I'm hard on Trump, but most of that is a reaction to the non-stop vilification of all those who are not-Trump

Not hard, pro-Hillary. And nobody here vilifies nd or bag or E.

And spare us all the victim whining. You come in here and do everything you can to badmouth anybody who dares disagree with you.

Typical Lefty tactics BTW.

I've gotten nothing but fuck off out of you because all I do is point out the lies and the errors in what you say. You can't back up what you say and the closest you come is quote some Cruzzer jerk from TOP or Insta.

And now we have this latest nonsense how Ryan lost like you're making some great point. All you're doing is making a fool of yourself.

I promised myself I was going to let anybody else who had something to say, say it, but this latest tack is the limit.

You claim you were for Rand and Carson and the One True Ted, but one of the people who inspired all the people who really supported those people to get involved this year because of the bad government he's given us and all you can do when he wins is cheer because some of the people who opposed him support Trump. It's very easy for me to believe you never supported Rand or Carson or anyone else.

You don't care about anything but your petty little vendetta and if the greatest country in the history goes down, well, you got yours.

Trump is only the third attempt at a populist response. Sarah Palin was the first tentative attempt at a new direction. The tea party built on that. Trump did the same and began the turn towards putting America First. This is a process. We might fail here and there along the way. It seems like everyone is against it. The Democrats. The Rhino's. The Establishment Conservatives. The media. Big business. The criminal element in BLM and Occupy Wall Street. Everyone except normal regular Americans. The people. We will see if there is enough of them to make a change.

Maybe it's "entitled".

I think these people really believe they're better than everybody else. They've been told it most of their lives and, because they throw a crumb or two in the general direction of the suffering poor (hey, they went to Haiti to do good, so why shouldn't they come home having done well?), they should get something out of it.

Actually, I'll give you/Trump credit for that. His speech in Detroit was not bad.

This election will be fought/won in the rust belt. PA, OH, MI, etc. Right now, there've been reports that "centrist" Democrats want Bernie Sanders to campaign for Hillary out there. Bernie says huh-uh. No dice.

That means the Democrats are in big trouble. They're so easily bought out and knee-deep in the favors game that they forgot the meaning of populism, let alone what it means to be economic nationalists. That will screw them up big time in those states.

Trump could really get her there, if he plays his cards right.

Trooper York said...

Look how much is already out there and the media can't cover it up. CNN and the WaPo are already starting damage control; it's on Drudge and (don't tell April) the National Enquirer.

They'd like Trump to throw a fit over scheduling so they have an excuse to back out, but he looks like he wants to negotiate, if possible, so it may all be back in their court.

Anybody who remembers '72 knows how much of a mess trying to reshuffle a ticket can be - and that was just the running mate.

If Trump doesn't fail spectacularly, I don't believe that either man is big enough to admit that they were wrong and that millions were right. You will find it a surprise that I asked them to be open minded about Trump and to give him a chance.

btw- the Electrician used to complete a lot of work out at the airport in Denver. He no longer does much out there, because of a program where only minorities and women are offered the opportunity to bid on jobs at DIA. Government meddling at its finest.

Chick, it's not the people who lost, most eventually went over to Trump.

All primaries get rough, some more than others, but the party keeps the eyes on the prize.

I think NRO's Kevin Williamson is a brilliant mind and writer but he has gone nuts too like Kristol and Jonah. The groupthink at NRO should be investigated - I don't get it - could there be big money involved perhaps?

Trump exposed the contempt they have for regular people. They are more concerned about not being racist and virtue signaling then in protecting America. Protecting our jobs, our communities and our country.

They are part of the elite consensus that has nothing but contempt for you and me.

NRO's been drifting for quite a while now. Kristol has always straddled the line.

We do know the One True Ted bought and paid for HotAir and TownHall, as well as Mark Levin and some other talkers, out of money supplied by Mitch McConnell's PAC. We also know Tom Donahue basically bought Congress in the name of cheap labor, so, if other websites have been bribed, it's not beyond the realm of possibility. The Chamber of Commerce has a lot of money.

Case in point:

First Dubya, then Miss Sarah, now Trump in the crosshairs.
