She is learning from Erdogan, strike quickly and hard.
It'll be an interesting Adam & Drew podcast tomorrow, for sure.
Oh, goody.
There's something to it, after all (well, that's what everybody will think...).
CNN is a pathetic safe space for Clinton Corruption.
Clinton News Network at it again
If his comments were complete bullshit then this probably wouldn't have happened, but I now must assume there is something terrible to hide that must not even be suggested.
This is not an election. It's a human resources department workplace purge festival.
You think this is a purge, wait'll she gets into the oval office.
Turns out there's some Benghazi material in those deleted emails.
Fun, fun, fun.
Hillary has ties to Monsanto.
Hillary’s agribusiness ties give rise to nickname in Iowa: ‘Bride of Frankenfood’
Monsanto is pure evil.
I've heard that from anti-GMO friends who, frankly, seem a bit unhinged on the topic. It's a big corporation and it produces food on a massive scale in exchange for money which is a bad thing in their books, plus frankenfood. No doubt they're big government cronies but is your objection just to that or to the GMO process because there's two sides to that story.
Amartel-
Evidence is mounting, in my mind, that Monsanto is pure evil. I'm a capitalist, but capitalism goes out the window when you mingle mega-corporate power and the fist of government power and its corruption.
I tell you a few stories and link a few things in a bit. I have free range pets to round up.
(btw- My Trump supporting worth 100-million dollars mega-conservative capitalist clients despise Monsanto. )

My stock in them is up over 40% since I bought. Not as good as ADM -- up over 75%,
I used to work for an attorney who hated Monsanto. He helped litigate some case involving Round-Up. He used to joke that while Monsanto touted themselves as a Life Science company, in truth they were into "Death Science."
I wander in to the "Oh Be Joyful" Gallery in Created Butte, admiring the lovely local art, and a conversation begins with one of the local artists. Nick.
Nick owns property on the Island of Molokai, and during mud season, he escapes there. It sounds rather primitive. He hunts the wild dear and boar that run wild because Molokai used to be Royal Hawaiian hunting grounds.
Nick tells about how a labor dispute/development deal gone bad (not clear on details) made the resort owners at the end of Molokai pack up and leave. There isn’t much tourism on Molokai, so what little there was is now gone. It’s all fenced off, but you can hike in and walk to these closed resorts at the end of Molokai and look in the windows. All the furniture is still there and it looks as if they could re-open any moment. Molokai, as a resort destination is done. Now, the only inhabitants are local Hawaiians who have lived there for generations. Very few tourists, other that day-trippers, visit the island. Only a few thousand actually live on Molokai.
I asked him about the housing development and the curb cuts and fire hydrants I recalled from 30 years ago. He said it’s still the same. No change. Those homes were never built.
30+ years ago my brother and I flew to Molokai. We rented a Datsun and drove from one end to the other. One end of the island is sort of flat and runs into the sea with the longest beach in the Hawaiian Islands. Nobody there. We noted concrete curbs and fire hydrants, as if plans to develop were near.. this again was 30+ years ago. The other end is mountains – waterfalls. The north shore is high cliffs – cannot drive there.
Nick goes on to say that Monsanto wanted to move its experimental corn operation to Molokai. Molokai is part of Maui County. Maui county residents had a vote – and they voted NO. NO Monsanto. The courts over-turned the vote and Monsanto now has 2000+ acres on Molokai.
The courts are run by.... Who again... who??? Oh right… Leftists. Thugs in black.
So now, according to Nick, Monsanto is building the perfect corn that they will sell to the whole world. The locals are not happy.
Monsanto - they are pure evil. They remind me of the Clintons. It's all for power and money - screw the little guy. Screw the bee, for crying out loud.

Fine. Then let them do it without preventing labelling, without these bullshit P.R. claims that they're feeding the third world - or that lab-grown food is necessary to do it, without making plants designed simply to make the grower more reliant on the same cancerous Round-Up herbicide that they patented, without pushing SCOTUS to allow the litigation of local farmers who had the misfortune of growing a stray plant that blew into their field from your local seed monopoly, and all the fields with bar codes posted on them.
April's right. (It's another one of the many things she's right on). They are evil. They're about as necessary as primetime tv or a soap opera. Just self-perpetuating nonsense - a phony and destructive market that fights tooth and nail to prevent people from figuring out what they're really about, and how truly unecessary and good-for-nothing they really are. They are rent-seekers of the hard-core variety.
"Death Science" is accurate, Chickl.
R & B
... a phony and destructive market that fights tooth and nail to prevent people from figuring out what they're really about,...
Exactly.
April is 1000% right about Monsanto. They are evil incarnate. The recent regulation change where they do not have to label food is the las straw. Slipped in secretly by an unholy alliance of Paul Ryan and Barack Obama.
I do not eat GMO tainted food and I demand the right to know what food is contaminated.
...the same cancerous Round-Up herbicide that they patented,..
The etiology of that claim intrigues me. Glyphosate targets enzymes in plants not found in humans or animals. How the same chemical which causes cell death in plants leads to cell proliferation in humans is worthy of further study. Maybe the reverse is true: suppose there's a chemical that causes plants to grow but targets cancers cells in humans. Taxol comes to mind.
Just thinking out loud.
Monsanto scientists invented some of the most elegant, well-studied chemistry that I know of. I cut my teeth on it. See the 2001 Nobel Prize in chemistry to Knowles, for example.
I'm going to need a better reason to hate Monsanto.
I'm the stand alone contrarian here.
Wiki bio on Monsanto's W.S. Knowles.
Fair enough, I'll do my own research. If anyone wants to point me in the direction of reliable nonhysterical sources about GMOs, that'd be appreciated. Not interested in the litigation. It's a big company and big companies get sued because that's where the money is. Not a reliable source.
