"Problem: Trump Not on the Minnesota Ballot, and It Looks Like He Can't Get On It"

Via Ace: He has until the 29th to put his name on the ballot, but Minnesota rules require the names of ten electors, and ten alternate electors, be submitted as well.
Minnesota didn't officially elect alternate electors.

And some guy says there's not enough time to call a snap convention to elect them.
Renewing suspicions of Trump's seriousness about running... is he really running or not?

Who runs the party in MN?

It's their responsibility. So is it Trump people, Cruzzers, bushies, whom?

Sounds like one of those CO conventions where Trump people were told they're not allowed.

This looks worse than it looks.

Update on post now links to story that says Trump/Pence is now on the ballot.

That is, update on Insta's post has the referenced link.

If you follow the chain of events, this is a screw up at the state party level.

They were supposed to put forth a slate of electors and didn't.

This all goes back to Preibus, that giant Wisconsin fuckwad. Sorry to my other Wisconsinite friends here at Lems, but your state seems to produce the largest number of fucked up goobers short of Florida that I've never seen in my lifetime.

Trump is now on the MN ballot, which should please all of those who support amnesty for illegal immigrants.

No stealing from Yogi Berra, Lem.

It looks like Trump won't actually throw the election as some have speculated. He'll just "evolve" so that the Democratic platform wins either way. Three dimensional chess champion of the universe.

Seriously, how long before Trump starts wearing pantsuits?

Funny how all the trolls and Libertarians are suddenly for what they hated him so much for pushing.

Methadras said...

Wait, so he's not going to deport illegals? Who here thought that was going to be a remote possibility regardless and still support the guy? So are you still going to hold your nose when you vote for him?

edutcher said...

Meth, he's said he'll enforce the laws.

Last I heard, nothing had been rescinded. He said he might be open to “softening” his stance; IOW to get what he wants, he's going to deal.

Just like Reagan did on all his big programs. Like Reagan, he won't have that many friends in Congress (unless there's a big enough vote behind him), so he does some horse-trading.

I've been saying this all along. You come down a little, I come up a little.

I suspect Trump will get on the ballot in Minnesota, but he better start cracking.

It is not like Minnesota is in play, but this is embarrassing.

edutcher said...

He already is.

Minnesota was never serious about Trump anyway so screw them. We did it without them in '84.

Lem gets results.

Boy, some people aren not taking the destruction and reconstitution of the Republican party very well at all.

What a bummer! I choked when my laughing fit subsided.

The glee that I feel rise in my heart and uplift my spirit cannot be measured by known scientific instruments, but my schaudenboner can (Thanks Ace commenter! You glorious perv.)

Be of good cheer. All is well.

If he could do this in Minnesota that quickly, just think how fast that wall will go up!

You got it.

I'm hoping to see Willie Nelson this fall. I hope he makes it.

Problem - all those hidden Trump voters and supporters? Not reality.

@AprilApple: John Ziegler is not a reliable source. I used to listen to him years ago on KFI-AM Los Angeles.

chickelit said...

He's an emotional wreck.

AprilApple said...

It's weird how nothing is reliable anymore unless it's pro-Trump. All sorts of formerly reliable opinions and sources are now considered junk.

Mind crime if it doesn't carry Trump delusion.

No matter John Ziegler's reliability - are all the polls wrong? Most polls show Trump losing by a little or a lot. Are they all bunk?
