The College Fix: “As of July 1, the University of Cincinnati will request a Diversity and Inclusion statement of all applicants for faculty and staff positions,” the university recently announced. “Faculty and administrative/professional applicants will be asked to submit a personal statement summarizing his or her contributions (or potential contributions) to diversity, inclusion and leadership.”...
Those applicants must now answer the question: “As an equal-opportunity employer with a diverse staff and student population, we are interested in how your qualifications prepare you to work with faculty, staff and students from cultures and backgrounds different from your own.”...
UC’s chief diversity officer, Bleuzette Marshall, did not respond to requests for comment from The College Fix. However, she told WCPO of the new policy “We want to be able to see who people are a little bit coming through the door, and we want them to know who we are, so we aren’t surprised by each other.” (emphasis added)
“We’re all better off with diversity in our lives,” according to Tamie Grunow, UC’s chief human resources officer, “and it’s part of demonstrating our commitment to diversity and inclusion and setting expectations and priorities.”

I doubt they require a pledge to the United States.

While diversity of cultures is a goal (, it would be nice if universities made an effort for diversity of political and economic views too.
I heard this once, Diversity is perversity, and so far it does not disappoint.
This is nothing more than brown shirt loyalism. Again, these people need to die. They are infecting everything they touch.
Does a university, whose president's name is Santa J. Ono, really need a chief diversity officer? BTW Ono's wiki page lists him as a Canadian-American.
Who is against diversity and inclusion? Who? No one is against this. So on that level it's freaking insulting.
On another level, what is generally *meant* by "diversity and inclusion" is something else. People don't have to be for diversity and inclusion, they've got to be for a very narrow expression of those things, buy into a narrative, and never tell an earnest student or coworker that something they're doing isn't the most wonderful thing in the world.
Just a guess here - I'll bet that "diversity" doesn't include acceptance of opinions voiced by, say, pro-lifers. Or Christians. Or anyone who favors m/f marriage. Or who is pro-military. Or pro-closed borders. Or who believes gender fluidity is bullshit.
Because "diversity" really means people of all colors and races and backgrounds who are socially and politically progressive.
No others will be tolerated.
Why would anyone want to go to the U of Cincinnati?
I don't understand the appeal of private universities that aren't at the elite level. You might as well just send your daughter to a public university, its cheaper and its just as good.
