Overheard At Lem's

ndspinelli said....I'm not some Trump dick sucker like some. I do not jump for joy about saying President Trump. I just see big pictures better than most who get bogged down in minutiae.
The only joy we should jump for is Joy Harmon.

Here she isn't in "Cool Hand Luke"

I asked him if he jumped for joy about saying President Hillary.

I yet await an answer.

Nick for Hillary? I do not think so.

This is off Breitbart, so don't blame me.

Trump within a point of Hillary, after today's events. Indies seem to be swinging his way - remember we're 4 months out, so a lot can happen.

Make of that what you will.

For myself, pulling this right before the conventions and with Willie's "meeting" in Phoenix as prelude was idiocy on the half shell, but we've seen this kind of arrogance from Willie before and he never learns.

I don't think so either...but he did vote for Obama so you never know. I'm just tired of his incessant assholery and "smarter than thou" shtick. It really does remind me of Ritmo.

I mean, I don't "jump for Trump" either, but I recognized early on what was at stake and what was bearable in an opposition candidate to Rodham. If you want to shape and mold Trump into something you want him to be, then maybe you don't know what you want him to be or maybe you just don't want Trump. If it's the latter, then you'd better have a damn good reason why you want help elect Rodham, the worst possible outcome.

Althouse was particularly smug about Hillary's little victory today too.

Sigh.

It's days like today that I regret contributing anything positive over there. I guess I really should stop for awhile.

I don't go back unless I see something in the sidebar here that tickles me.

Not too often.

Perhaps someone can suggest another Madison blog which features local news and photos. That's what keeps me going back.

On Twitter the people expect Trump to say or do something stupid that immediately takes the heat off.

The star of David, actually a pair of equilateral triangles stacked with one inverted, a "SALE NOW" sunburst patch, not woven, and not a solid yellow frayed cloth patch, and as far as symbology goes not a actually kosher, but nonetheless ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE ANTISEMITE because that all these people have, their own stupid shit hangups, targets and such, and Republicans must ever be wary and on the lookout for Democrat insanity lest it go off like a 4th of July fireworks warehouse by careless accident. Every candidate must know that. And that's why Trump in intolerable because he keeps giving it to them.

So they say, "Now watch Trump draw a swastika for some reason."

And it make me laugh.

They expect him to do something stupid. Something to blow the advantage. Something that proves their point that he's actually not in it to win. They think he's dark horse, to hand it Hillary at the end, and these episodes prove that they're right.

So they watch every move, every single misstep proves their point. And finally today after all this piling on Hillary, somewhere on Earth in some remote interview somewhere Trump praised Saddam Hussein for having provided stability in M.E., a common conceit among liberals (Apparently F 9/11 film has Iraqi children flying kites to show how settled things were pre-Bush invasion.) A-a-a-a-a-and there it is.

Whenever Trump speaks liberal it drives conservatives nuts. To a liberal's ear it sounds, "gee, the guy get me on that point."

This nonsense about the Star of Hillary is so dumb its almost impossible to even comment on it.

The liberals have the microphone and we just dance to whatever tune they play.

Nick voted for Obama?

Hell, I voted for Carter. And Mondale. And a slew of other losers. But I repented. This is why I value the opinions of people who've voted both sides. Or at least don't throw them out. This is a plus to me about Trump.

Is it really killing Trump -- as in a deal breaker? I don't know because I avoid those sorts of mouthpieces.

I can't think that any normal person with an IQ over 90 would care. But OTOH, people are so dumb that its hard to tell an Onion Satire from the real thing.

Next: Trump eats a star sugar cookie with 6 points. MSM attacks Trump's antisemitism.

You figured that out?

Hey, that's a lot of labels.

And I don't understand labels.

I think labels are like you inventing a new file system. And my not getting labels is the same thing as my dad not getting my file system for him. This did not come up, but he would have a problem with computers too because everything is a file. And you have to organize your own file. You have to decide how you want things. That's what my dad couldn't grasp; that we just make it up.

He thought files must be categories inherited from on high developed from antiquity by PHD file thinky-thought categorizing experts.

"So where would I find insurance?"

"A" for auto, maybe "C" for car, or perhaps "B" for Buick or "F" for Ford or maybe "S" for sedan or possibly "T" for truck, it was all to much categorizing decision making it made the poor man's head spin. And my dad is no dope either. No. He's actually very smart. Was, when alive. A slide-rule and calculator and nerdy tiny notebook in his pocket all the time kind of guy, but not when it came to files and to categorizing, there he went brain dead. It was the strangest thing.

"You're playing stupid because you don't want to file shit. Nobody does. Knock it off and find your paper yourself. I'm busy."
