Wait...there is a new poll....the election is over....Right!

Summer Stunner: Trump Soars to +4 Over Clinton in Rasmussen Poll

9 point Swing — in one Week

By Breitbart News June 29, 2016

The latest Rasmussen Reports2016 presidential poll:

The tables have turned in this week’s White House Watch. After trailing Hillary Clinton by five points for the prior two weeks, Donald Trump has now taken a four-point lead.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds Trump with 43% of the vote, while Clinton earns 39%. Twelve percent (12%) still like another candidate, and five percent (5%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Last week at this time, it was Clinton 44%, Trump 39%. This is Trump’s highest level of support in Rasmussen Reports’ matchups with Clinton since last October. His support has been hovering around the 40% mark since April, but it remains to be seen whether he’s just having a good week or this actually represents a real move forward among voters.
Trump now earns 75% support among his fellow Republicans and picks up 14% of the Democratic vote. Seventy-six percent (76%) of Democrats like Clinton, as do 10% of GOP voters. Both candidates face a sizable number of potential defections because of unhappiness with them in their own parties.
Full article here.
Wait a minute! You mean this one poll doesn't mean anything? That a million things can happen between now and the election and this poll don't me jack shit?  You mean there is no reason to jump out the window or come in your pants? Do you mean that most of the stuff than can move the needle will hurt Hillary? Indictment. Non-indictment crooked deal. Release of her emails by a foreign power to show she violated security. A terrorist attack in America. A terrorist attack by a Syrian refugee. A rape of a child by refugees. Oh wait that happened already.
Now of course Trump might say something that is perceived as horrible by the sleazy media and people that want Hillary elected instead of an outsider. I mean he might say blacks should be concerned about them killing each other instead of the police killing them when they rob or steal. He might say that where a chick with a dick pees is  not the most important thing we have to worry about. The press and the pundits and April and George Will and Paul Ryan will denounce him all the live long day. But events matter.  Events will favor Trumps candidacy. Not because he is great. Not because he is infallible. But because he is on the side of the issue that most of America who uses common sense is on and facts will bear it out.

Hillary will weaken as candidate as we go, she cannot strengthen no matter how much her campaign spends. Trump will strengthen against the will of all controlling interests no matter how much he doesn't spend. On that alone he will win. Then throw on top of that all of the protests that "seem to follow Trump" wherever he goes and he'll rise even more firmly on his platform similar to law and order.

He has the pulse, H. Clinton does not. She has other problems.

Drudge said Democrats want an Obama 3rd term. Of course they do. Precious. That really is precious. Their way of acknowledging their candidate is baked. Their wistful hope transferred to the impossible. And they say so. They show us their psychology. Hillary doesn't represent anyone. Except the idea of raw ambition stopping at nothing, and that's not attractive.

Is it me or does Trump seem to be slimming while Hillary is bulking up slightly in weight? Great optics for Trump -- horrible optics for Hillary.

They are bunk. Every one of them. They mean nothing. Just wait until after the conventions, then they will start to have more merit, but I still don't like any of them because I believe they are utterly manipulative.

I'm sticking with 30. :D

That is the point. Polls are meaningless.

Except for the hot chick with the banner or course.

FWIW, only look at polls with likely voters, MOE < 3 (as opposed to <3), and a sample size of about 3000 if we're talking national poll.

Also look at split of R vs D, women and men, etc., that's where they hide the skew.

Trump looks great for a man of 70, compare with Willie. He seems to thrive on all of this.

There's something wrong with her. Armani usually doesn't make potato sacks. Explanations run from a goiter to a tumor. Your choice.

I think that's why we're test-fling VPs. Fauxcahontas, Stuart Smalley...

I'm holding out for April myself.

FWIW, the Russkies already released a load of Hillary's Benghazi emails.

Looks like Vlad is toying with the idea of releasing more.

After monitoring Guccifer, the Russians were reportedly able to record (both physically and electronically) his actions which allowed the Russian intelligence analysts, in 2013, to not only detect his breaking into the private computer of Secretary Clinton, but also break in and copy all of its contents as well.

Glad he's on our side.

PS fling s/b flying.

Polls are meaningless.

Agreed. This guy, Stanley Czevinowski, who lived next door to me when I was growing up was just plain stupid and had no ambition, no purpose in life.

Got a phone call this evening. The caller identified herself as being with some political polling group. I said, "No thanks" and hung up. Yes, polls are meaningless for numerous reasons, including assholes like me not playing along.

I don’t doubt that the Kremlin has HRC’s emails, but I am not following the logic of why they would release them. HRC is Moscow’s candidate of choice, they would not want to damage her prior to the election. Why would they want to help Trump get elected? Now if HRC did make it to the white house I can see threats to release, or blackmail, or just a wiki dump or something like that, but why would they do it today?
