Those mountains can be a mofo! Some of the worst turbulence I've ever experienced was flying over the Rockies and the Alps.
Wow, that was incredible to see. You can hear the utter dismay in the controllers voices. Gives new meaning to up up and away!!!
It doesn't take much airspeed for a Cub to take off.
Reno Airport?That is the scariest place to take off and land because of the sudden, strong, unpredictable wind gusts.
