political flux

Flux as in fluctuation defined by wikipedia. In which we see the importance of sales. Republicans are going to need a good salesman to break through brittle preconceptions.

Not everyone is so politically hard as it seems.

The sales networks learned the most qualified applicants did not make the best sales people. Collectively they are too stilted. Too inclined to get lost in unproductive discussion.  Their experience is less educated and more openly enthusiastic people are better natural salespeople.

Do you buy that?

If you believe passionately in something, you have a larger propensity to be an eager champion for that thing you believe in. However, at the same time, you must be an honest arbiter of the truth of that which you champion. Accept that it has flaws, but be honest about them and how they can be rectified.

A lot of the people in politics are back room deal people. A lot of business people only have to deal with a limited number of people familiar to them. Some are academicians who aren't paid to teach, but to help the school raise funds. The pros are the marketing people (if you ever want to see a guy who knows how to present, look at Guy Kawasaki, one of Jobs' "evangelists"), but the guy who really knows the product isn't usually the guy who presses the flesh.

What makes Trump do so well is he's had to do presentations to people to make a living.

You learn what works and what doesn't. I was in a entrepreneurship and was always the closer when it came to present the product. The feedback was right there, so you could be very self-critical.

There is a woman on HSN or maybe QVC who fascinates me. Every time I see this woman she's totally stoked about what she is presenting. She's blasted about what she is presenting. She squeals with delight at the features. She marvels at the array of colors and patterns and versatility and how the object answers all of life's questions, and if not all, then a sizable portion. anything, ANYTHING, this woman genuinely wets herself over. I marvel. She would be so fun to be around because everything is great with her. I always stop just to observe her. I think, "now how is she going to present this?" And she demonstrates as if she just bought it herself and it works wonders in unexpected ways. And she makes you hurry because the last time they offered the thing it had less features was more expensive and it sold out in five minutes and these are going like lightening so hurry up and buy it right now before you regret it and end up paying full HSN price which is already the lowest price available but now this is EVEN LOWER and FREE SHIPPING so if you were even considering the jump on this RIGHT NOW!

It's just too easy to make ideologues look stupid. Too fucking easy.

Hillary supporters are hands-down the dumbest voting group to speak of this year. They are only, and I repeat, only, voting for her based on gender love.

That's because, "There's a special place in hell" for those who don't support her.
