Harriet Tubman

I liked this artists mock-up even though it's extremely non-traditional.  Sticking it in it's own post because I don't know how to add it to the old post below.

Looks like she's robbing a 7-11.

It's gotta be tougher and tougher being an armed robber w/ so many people using cards now.

Harriet Tubman, the terminator of her day. Come with me if you want to live.

Good to have Synova back.

I didn't really go anywhere. I've just been busy settling into having a job instead of going to school. :)

That is no problem Synova. You are welcome to repeat on a subject anytime. We do it all the time.

Hey, is it cool to say, "I'll bet you a Tubman..." now?

Hope the settling goes well. Whenever I see someone is new to a job I go out of my way to be nice. We all remember the stress of starting new jobs. We remember the assholes who gave us a hard time and the people who were nice. I try to always be the latter.

They should have put her on the trillion dollar bill. That's where this mess is heading.

I thought the underground railroad was a, you know, a railroad that was, you know, under the ground.

For my eyes have beheld such wonders. In fact I rode them. And not just once. A whole bunch of time. Railroads right under the ground.

Harriet Tubman must have been a marvelous RR person. My grandfather was. He was working on the RR all the live-long day. And came back covered with grease. It was a filthy job. But I never saw any of that. But later, after he was gone, in his house with the windows open in summer and moisture saturating the morning air, in the distance far below at the bottom of Lehigh Valley and out of sight, the sound of railroad wafted up hauntingly, stirring the imaginations of children in the houses at the top. It goes like this:

toot toot ... toot toot ... toot toot

That's what I literally thought as a young child. I imagined the abolitionists had dug a big tunnel from the slave states to the free ones.

I was really disappointed when i learned the truth.

If the Choom Gang thought taking Hamilton off the 10 was rough, wait till the pushback for Andy starts.

That art work shows her carrying a revolver, while her own pistol, preserved in a museum somewhere, was a single shot flintlock.

Artists, what do they know? I guess I should be happy they didn't portray her carrying a phaser.

I look at Harriett, and I see a Trump voter/enforcer.

Hi Synova! What a great representation. I like how the hand reaches out so effectively. As for the pistol, it coolly fits in with the Old West still going on at the time.

Obama is going to make sure she looks like a poor victim.

Synova's version would make Obama's head explode.
