"Woman Fatally Shoots Mississippi Fugitive Rafael McCloud"

"A woman being held hostage with her family by a suspected murderer fatally shot him Thursday morning — ending the multi-agency manhunt for the armed and dangerous felon, police said."
The fugitive, Rafael McCloud, 34, had approached a man in Vicksburg while he was starting his car outside of his home, Vicksburg Police Chief Walter Armstrong told NBC affiliate WLBT.
McCloud ordered the man inside, where he tied him and his wife up, Armstrong said. At one point, McCloud stabbed the man in the shoulder before he broke free.
Amid the man's escape, his wife grabbed a firearm and shot McCloud in the head, Armstrong told The Associated Press. The woman and a child inside the home were unharmed
The use of a gun made this woman her attacker's equal, in the respect that matter most, her right to remain alive. You could argue, in the right hands, guns are an equality tool.

Okay but a 4 year-old's hands might not be the right hands:

God did not make all men equal. Sam Colt did.

And children raised with forearms have respect for them.

Interesting that of all the things you could pull out of this article, you cherry picked this one. Your point is what? An unreasonable example of an accident or are you trying to highlight this accident for comedic effect?

Given that, I wonder why the marxist leftist anti-gunners are so silent on this woman shooting this sub-human who terrorized and did them harm? You see in the face of actual examples and metrics that show a marked decrease in gun violence/murders, and actual examples of guns as weapons of protection, which aligns directly with the right of self-defense, their arguments wither into meaningless and childish fear.

Damn, my quote didn't come through. Odd. Anyway, my above question was directed at you Meade.

I love a story with a good ending. Just think how horribly this would have turned out if their guns were locked in a safe, inaccessible. With trigger locks that take even more time to unlock and make the gun usable. The right to KEEP and BEAR arms should not be infringed by making the guns unable to be accessed or used.

Great ending for a very nasty bad man. Buh bye Rafael

There.....that'll make some people go all 'splodyheaded

Dangerous tools are dangerous. News at 11.

Other than that? Yes, guns are an equality tool. They can be used by children, women, the elderly, and the disabled to give smaller, weaker, people the ability to protect themselves against stronger people, and to give a large man the ability to protect himself and others against superior numbers. Equality gives you a chance, it doesn't guarantee an outcome. Glad to hear that *this* confrontation had an excellent outcome.

Guns are dangerous. Especially when in the hands of criminals.

Meade said...

Totally agree with Allen's comment. Also when in the hands of 4 year-olds.

Meade said...

Shouldn't the 4 year-old be tried as an adult, for attempted matricide?

Synova said...

And what? You're clearly not serious. So what do you think ought to happen? No one gets to defend themselves and we must all remain victims because someone didn't secure their gun? If not, then did you have a point at all? Ever?

Re: the link to the 4 year old shooting mom.

I'm sorry the kid was able shoot his mom. I'm sorry the mom is a stupid bint.

Not. My. Problem.

Jesus H Christ, who kills more people, 4 year olds, or criminals?

Meade said...

How the hell should "Jesus H Christ" know? In this case, the criminal was a 4 year-old.

Do you care? Dust Bunny Queen doesn't seem to.

Dust Bunny Queen doesn't seem to.

Correction It isn't "seem" to...... I really don't care. I am not responsible for other people's stupidity. It isn't my place to save stupid people from attrition. I am not required to change my life style and give up my right to self protection or the right to keep and bear arms in order to accommodate stupid people. It IS my right to protect myself FROM stupid and malicious people.

Sorry the kid has to live with is parent's stupidity and carelessness.

NOT. MY. PROBLEM.

Hello Synova, it is very nice to see you again.

Why are people talking about a 4 year old? That was not what the post was about. Thread hijackers and trolls only have power if you give them the response they crave.

Synova said...

I'm with Dust Bunny, really. This is truly in the realm of "some kid drowned in a swimming pool so..." what? Personal tragedy, sure, but what is the point being made? That no one ever should be allowed a swimming pool ever again? Swimming pools have even less utility than a weapon and aren't a guaranteed right. So CLEARLY a tragedy involving a 4 year old does not have immediate and well understood meaning and consequence and thus the "implied" meaning and consequence requires actual articulation.

But there is no point being made, is there? None. No point at all.

And yes, I know someone showed up cuz he was lonely.

A four year old with a kitchen knife is pretty dangerous. Or with a paper clip and an electrical outlet, or a bottle of Clorox or virtually everything under your kitchen cabinet or in the medicine cabinet, or a pool, or a ladder, or a tree, or a dog, and never run with scissors.

I think the best advice is to just avoid four-year-old kids to be safe.

Meade said...

LOL. Especially 4 year-olds named Donald J. Trump.

bagoh20 said...

Four-year-old Trump was already worth millions, which means even at four he was a business genius and master negotiator, and with his vocabulary fully developed he was already qualified to lead us.

I would love to ask gun grabbers how this family would be better without the Second Amendment.

Engaging Tex[short for Kotex] is always a mistake. Think of how many mommy and daddy issues the mofo has. It is constantly on display. Inga has gotten help. Tex needs to consult w/ her.

Amartel said...

I'm afraid to ask what this kotex/tampon theme is all about.

Dust Bunny Queen said...

They found a kotex on the sidewalk in front of their house and had to immediately run out and take a photo of it because??.....it might be blog material? Then they had to do research to determine if it were recyclable or not. Personally, I would have picked it up with a baggie, like dog poop, and put it into the garbage like a normal person would have done. Or in our area...into the burn barrel and have been done with it.

So a kotex on the sidewalk or where ever becomes a monumental big deal. Hilarious in a way.
