Uh-oh Spaghettios

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration confirmed for the first time Friday that Hillary Clinton's home server contained closely guarded government secrets, censoring 22 emails that contained material requiring one of the highest levels of classification. The revelation comes three days before Clinton competes in the Iowa presidential caucuses.

[Some emails included] highly restricted, classified material that could point to confidential sources or clandestine programs like drone strikes.

How much you want to bet that the Chinese and every other enemy has been trading her emails like baseball cards for years?

Just had a thought that may be either wacky or on the money. Hillary had to know that putting all this above top secret stuff on her private server would make it easy for the Chinese, Iranians, Saudis, Russians, Israelis, Al Qaeda, ISIS and who knows who else to HACK IT. She and Bill owed some of the above, maybe all, big time based on the multi-million dollar speaking fees and contributions to the Clinton Foundation these countries and organizations, or front groups for them, had been paying over the years in anticipation of payback. Could this - making it easy to hack above top secret American secrets - be how she delivered the goods?

Nah she ain't that smart.

The judge ordering these releases is a joke.

"Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."

Wouldn't it be awesome if Clinton loved the country as much as her own ambition. Then, the whole email thing could have been set up as a ruse to fool our enemies into hacking false secrets and fake intelligence on her server. They would never believe that Hillary would let herself look bad for the good of the country. It would totally work.

sigh, nothing will happen. The more that piles one, the more protection she gets, the more emboldened the administration becomes. Obama is now taking this as a personal fuck you to the FBI and to Republicans and he enjoys that a lot as you can see from his historical past.

Americans need to be reminded that is was a group of Republicans who went to Nixon and convinced him it was best and necessaryfor the country if he resigned.

Where are the Dem statesmen who would do the same to Hillary?

I think a lot people, including lots of independents, are prepared to punish Hillary at the ballot box if necessary. There is no good way out at this point for her or the Dems. That's why I say it's essentially a forfeit in 2016 from that side. That doesn't mean the Republicans can't blow it anyway. They could even win the election and still end up with a big spending liberal Democrat. Somehow one always wins. At least since Reagan.

"The State Department announced yesterday that they will not release 22 e-mails from Hillary Clinton’s e-mail server containing top-secret information, but they also will withhold another 18 unclassified e-mails. Those messages involve President Barack Obama, and the State Department has decided to honor a claim of executive privilege to keep those out of the public record..." ~ http://hotair.com/archives/2016/01/30/state-department-to-withhold-hillary-obama-e-mails/

Can't we just get them from Putin? The American people are the only ones out of the loop. I guess we just have to assume the worst things possible in those emails, while the left will assume they were discussing yoga, and cookie recipes.

If people want to talk about what fuels Trump support, I'd start with the Obama/Clinton Legacy Alliance.

Notice I didn't say "what fuels Trump" but rather "what fuels Trump support."

Bago at 12:17 ! That's the ticket.

chickelit said...

That whole 12:17 was subjunctive in nature.

A counterfactual? Supposition? Put me out of my misery!

chickelit said...

I can't explain the subjunctive, deborah.

I.Don't.Have.Time

It's imperative that we sometimes reject the subjunctive.

I have much to mull over as I go on my errand :)

Prediction: As people realize our enemies had easy access to Lady Macbeth's server, one defense/deflection will be, "Well, the govt. servers have been hacked as well."

Sentences that are not imperative, declarative, interrogative, or exclamatory?

deborah said...

Not written in the present tense?

chickelit said...

Wow, deborah! I'm sorry I left you hanging. What I meant by bags writing in the subjunctive mood was that the whole thing was hypothetical and contrary to fact. Here's what it would look like in the indicative mood:

It's awesome that Clinton loves the country as much as her own ambition. The whole email thing was a set up as a ruse to fool our enemies into hacking false secrets and fake intelligence on her server. They never believed that Hillary let herself look bad for the good of the country. It totally worked.

"Contrary to fact" sounds harsh because it sounds like it could not be true. It just means it's not factually true (btw, also not factually false). Just hypothetical.

Well, I guess I was pretty close when I said supposition...thanks for the lesson!
