Enough already.

So I am flipping the dial to see what there was to watch. There were previews all over the place about a new cop show. It had two of my favorite hot chicks. J-Lo and Adrianna from the Sopranos. So I thought hey why not give it a shot. I mean I like cop shows. Hopefully it wouldn't be too graphic. The subtext was police corruption.

You see there is this special detective police unit that handles Brooklyn. In fact they use many actual street names and locations that I am intimately familiar with so of course that was interesting to me. It had a multi-racial cast. The premise is that J Lo is turned by the FBI who has got her on tape soliciting a bribe so she has to rat out her crew and wear a wire. And she has to betray her mentor the leader of her squad.

They establish that she is a courrpt cop from the get go because in the first episode she uses a throw down gun to make it look kosher for a bad shoot by the rookie cop that she had with her on his first day. He mistook video game noise for actual gunfire and killed a drug dealer  guy on his own couch. Now this guy was a bad guy. A dope peddler and skell to be sure but he didn't have a gun in his hand. The made it obvious that she was a bad actor.

Now another bonus was that Ray Liotta played the leader of the cops. He is always good in a tough guy Mafia/cop role. Sort of like a cut rate Lee Marvin. He has a few pounds and few miles on him so he would be perfect for the role of the corrupt but loyal boss of a bunch of thieving cops.  But then this happened.

Out of the blue they have him kissing the guy from Internal Affairs. The next episode they have him getting a blow job from a dude in an alley. Does everything have to be gay? I realize that Ryan Seacrest is the executive producer but enough already.

I have to stick with the "Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp" on Youtube.  Enough already with this bullshit.

Pretty good odds that there's an Emmy in Liotta's future...based on his acting ability of course.

She really wears some hot outfits and shows a lot of skin.

Sometimes our minds can play tricks on us, and you think you see what you want to see rather than what's there. Just sayin'.

She looks like Christina Hendricks after an all-nighter with the 25th Precinct vice squad.

J Lo really sexes it up in this series. I mean it is unbelievable. Most cops look very dykie in real life. Nobody is in full make up and sexy silk shirts working in Brooklyn South.

I just don't want to see Ray Liotta tonguing some random dude. It's like the mangled corpses that seem to be in every episode of Hawaii Five O these days. I expect it if I watch HBO or Showtime but it is a little much for prime time regular TV.

We gays are everywhere...get over it troop. I have done a Boston cop,"member" of the Cia and fbi and military.

Deal with it.

Sex is fluent Troop.

Relax and enjoy it.

I'm watching Downton Abbey. I can feel the testosterone just draining out of me. No nudity. No violence. Just a lot of domestic squabbles and soap opera problems. I'm not hooked, but I keep watching. It's like having a glass of warm milk before bedtime.......They apparently take some pains to accurately depict the clothes and the furnishings of that era. The women look kind of frumpy. Apparently tits weren't invented until later in the century. The men's clothes look pretty good though. I think that's because they dress the way well dressed men dressed when I was a kid. One of the men wore a deerstalker cap while stalking a deer. It's the only time I've ever seen such a cap worn by someone other than Sherlock Holmes. Apparently it servos some useful purpose when stalking deer, although I can't say what.

English shows are generally entertaining without the gore and degradation that American TV revels in even in prime time.

Downtown Abbey is a fun soap opera.

Troop, was there a clean up on Isle Fucknut?

Give Downton Abbey credit, they can reference gay stuff without making their "village" the equivalent of the Village.

Amazing. I haven't watched prime time Network TV in years. Guess I won't be doing it in the future either.

I'm way behind on my TV watching. I still haven't got through my "Game of Thrones" or "Mad Men" DVDs.

Yeah Evi sorry your were collateral damage.

Some people can never understand when they are not wanted. There are plenty of other places for the lawnboy to spew his garbage. He is not permitted to be part of the conversation here I have anything to say about it.
