"Two mass shootings, two completely different standards of coverage"

"Planned Parenthood was ‘right wing terror,’ but with Islam suddenly ‘motives don’t matter’"
Last month, when a Colorado Christian entered a Planned Parenthood clinic and fatally shot three people, the mainstream media rushed to make the connection to “right-wing domestic terrorism,” even though police hadn’t made any connection and the evidence was thin.
When two California Muslims shot up a government office several days later, massacring 14, national journalists refused to call it Islamic terrorism even though evidence of the shooters’ motive was overwhelming. (read the whole thing)

I posted this elsewhere in relation to Obama's weekly address:

Obama: “It is entirely possible that these two attackers were radicalized to commit this act of terror.

And if they weren’t radicalized, would that mean they were moderates? Because they committed the act, and they did so pledging allegiance to an organization that the US considers a terrorist organization. But whatever Mx. President, if you consider them possible moderates…

There is no question that the woman did this in allegiance to ISIS. She gave that information to everyone. Whether that is radical or not means nothing to me. What matters is she had no business here other than to be a murderer. She lied on her entry visa, yet was allowed in. She wasn't on a no-fly-list, but she still violated our gun laws.

Holmes was a convicted rapist with mental problems, and he was allowed on the streets. He wasn't radicalized recently. He was a recognized danger to society many years previously. But his crime would not have prevented him for boarding an aircraft. In fact, I doubt he has been added to the no-fly-list even now. And why should he? He is not a terrorist. He's a mentally disturbed individual, who needed treatment. But not only do we limit how we provide such treatment in the US these days; such treatment is also not covered well by Obamacare. Editorials pointing out these facts don't support the narrative and progressive agenda.

Well, of course they are double standards of coverage. One deals with a hated viewpoint against a leftist protected institution, PP. While the other is a protected religio-political theocratic hegemony that cannot be questioned because of diversity and multi-cultural status, which is another leftist brick in there wall.

After the Charlestown shooting, the white citizens behaved in a remorseful and apologetic manner. I think the shooting had more to do with the craziness of the shooter than the Old Confederacy. Nonetheless, they voted to remove the Confrderate Flag from the state grounds and, in general, did not offer any harangues about how, now more than ever, it is important not to discriminate against people with Confederate Flag decals on their cars.......After these shootings, the Muslim spokesmen never sound rueful and never try to rethink what about their faith and practices engenders such atrocities. Instead they tell us that there's nothing wrong with Islam and anyone who looks at them sideways is a bigot.
