"Germany rejects Germany's criticism of Saudi Arabia"

"Spy agency releases damning report on Saudi Arabia; government says its job is not to provide journalists with information."
The German government on Friday rejected the findings of a damning report on Saudi Arabia by its own spy agency and called Riyadh a key partner in regional conflict resolution.
 Does this sound familiar?

wow, the levels of statecraft through the duplicitous language of diplomacy have seen nothing but leftism exonerate itself as a self-aggrandizing theocratic political structure. They are no better than a cult at this point. They all say and do the same things like puppets. Leftism really is a zombie plague.

We (the USA) rely on Saudi Arabia as an ally only because through harsh methods it maintains control of its idiots. Sort of...most of the 9/11 perpetrators didn't come from Qatar, after all.

Few other ME countries manage it so well...and for the USA it is a least worst option. As is Qatar.

A day will come when we must criticize the KSA....such as when they cease to serve our purposes and their populace runs amok.

The whole ME fandango is a classic example of damned if you do and damned if you don't...the West can't win on a good day or bad day unless we instigate WWIII. That would be a bad idea if done physically...it's already here politically....never mind the uncertainty of such a physical war.

I keep hearing and reading about western military superiority and "can't lose" concepts...then I recall some rag tag little guys in black pajamas. Today it is more rag tag guys, but with Toyota Pick UP trucks and various guns mounted...aka "technicals".

I suspect Eisenhower was right when he demanded the Brits and French cease messing with Egypt over the Suez. Too bad we didn't learn from ourselves.
