I watched part of the debate also, chick, and from that I thought Webb came across poorly. I was certainly hoping for more. Baldwin was over the top, true, but not entirely off base.
Not funny. So many ways you can skewer the Dem presidential field but, sadly, SNL not interested in that. Desperately wants to be of assistance. Larry David as Sanders is loving tribute. Also, unoriginal. They don't like Hillary so making her a manic robot not a stretch. A funny sketch would have her manically cackling out lies, "Oh, Anderson, I don't even know how to work an email" while simultaneously emailing on three or four different machines with the press nodding and taking notes. Also, she was so clearly repeating poll-tested lines off a script. Could do a lot with that; wrong line in response to a question. Webb is too macho for today's Dem base. Military is only acceptable when it's "reporting for duty" (subservient) with a fluffy haircut in an ironic Patton tribute. So he must be mocked but it's only funny if you feel threatened by the military. Chafee and O'Malley are playing "the competition" that Hillary! "beat." Could do something with that. Also, the handouts and free stuff listing. Ripe. Like autoresponse any difficult question: Free tube sox for everyone!(Audience: yaaaay.)

I cannot watch. I'll assume it's all for Hillary?
Not really. it had some chuckles for me.
I thought the skit was great. David nailed Sanders. Even at the end where he admitted he was trolling to be Clinton's VP.
And also, whoever played Hillary. Even the part where she already knew what Sanders was going to say about her emails. Collusion!
But poor Webb, well skewered, or skewered well, by Baldwin. I was once holding out for him. Not so much now.

I watched the real debate and Webb is the only Dem I'd consider voting for.
