One hell of a horse, even conformation wise, with an athletic conformation....see the angulation of his shoulders and hips. As good as some of the 17+ hand Irish bred hunter jumpers I rode while learning to ride. His height is awesome but his appearance is very good as well. How they got such an out-lier animal puzzles me. I couldn't find the breed mix...and it no doubt a mix. No matter, he's cool...and I am impressed his handler is using nothing but a light chain affixed to a halter snaffle, not some multiple chain over the nose and through the mouth hard yank contrivance. In short the giant is not rank. I can only imagine what it would be like to ride him (or her...from the photo I can't be sure of his sex). Closest I've ever come to that was on some Quarter Horse / Clydesdale mixes...like riding a smooth freight train...not "scopy" but smooth as silk otherwise. You could "feel" the power under your seat and in your legs...great horses. I'd have been comfortable riding them ( or this guy) over maybe 2.5+ foot, or so, obstacles, which are fairly low, but the owners didn't like the idea...even when I explained that all horses can jump, it's man who has to learn the cues for specific obstacles. I'd be tempted to own one if we still had our horses and my doctors didn't object...but why would they with my history of face plants on hunter/jumpers, eventers, and cow ponies working cattle. Never could convince the medicos that for simple pleasure riding there was no risk of a head plant as there is with 3 day eventers. Neuro-surgeons have no sense of humor :D Without their approval I'd have lost my insurance coverage. So I sit unfulfilled :-)

Too much horseshit competition.

Kids in the future will think this design spawned the idea/creation of the term "three ring circus"... my shower thoughts.
