Say hello to my little friend.

La Paz, Bolivia, Jul 9, 2015 / 10:45 am (CNA/EWTN News).- When leftist Bolivian president Evo Morales on Thursday presented Pope Francis with a “communist crucifix” – a carving of Christ crucified on the hammer of a hammer and sickle – the Pope appeared to say, “This is not ok,” while shaking his head.

Shortly after his July 8 arrival at the Bolivian administrative capital of La Paz, Pope Francis made a courtesy visit to Morales at the Palace of Government. At such meetings, the leaders customarily exchange gifts; Pope Francis gave the Bolivian president a mosaic of the Marian icon of the “Salus Populus Romani,” her role as patroness of Rome.

Morales explained what his gift to the Pope was as he gave it to him. In the video, filmed by the Vatican Television Center and transmitted throughout the world, the Pope appears to be saying “No está bien eso” – “This is not ok” – while shaking his head.

Of course the pontiff was high at the time as he had just ingested a tea made of cocca leaves and had mistaken a Burger King for his hotel room.

The pope has donated most of the gifts he had recieved to charity and the "hammer and sickle" cross was not mentioned.

There is a rumor that it is being made into a bong but that has not been confirmed.

Let me quote Tom McDonald on this:

"Oh, what’s this? The pope is a Marxist! Because he scowled at an absurdly offensive and blasphemous hammer-and-sickle crucifix given to him by the little anti-clerical prick ruling Bolovia instead of dashing it to the ground and whizzing on it, because that’s what popes should do! Seriously, people: stop reading hysterical Catholic blogs and outrage-trolling social media. It’s bad for the soul."

So might people be who write disrespectful shit all over the actual news report.

Then there's this:

"Of course, there’s something grotesquely appropriate about the Lord being nailed to the symbol of communism, since so many hundreds of millions have suffered at the hands of leftist ideologies for so long. We are being crucified on a cross of progressive politics right at this very moment. We are being told to move to the back of the bus, bake the gay wedding cake, and STFU. I refuse. Now what are they gonna do? It’s their move."

Of course you can turn this into anything you want. It's the internet!

How do I know that? He's South American for crying out loud. And a commie. Like Bill De Blasio or Ron Kuby. He loves Cuba and coca leaf tea.

I am just going but what I see. Just sayn'

I used to have a parish priest who was drunk all the time. He was soused from around ten in the morning.

That doesn't mean he wasn't a good priest. He just liked his Johnny Walker.

I remember when I was kid and my hoodlum friends and I were walking past the rectory. The housekeeper was putting about twenty empty bottles into the trash.

My wise guy friend Nunzio goes "Holy Cow Mrs Murphy that is a whole bunch of dead soldiers."

She replied "Ah to be sure and the Good Father prayed over each and every one of them."

Last time I checked, we all were sinners. Including the Pope, who definitely included himself in that category. And I'm sure your good Father did say his prayers.

Of course we are Tim. Me more than most. That is what confession is for after all.

Father Pat was a good man. I think the stuff he saw affected him deeply. It was the Vietnam era. Every other week he was doing a funeral. I have nothing but compassion and love for him.

But he liked his Johnnie Walker. Of that there is no doubt. It made him a lot less scary when you had to talk to him. He was human just like us. Not a plaster saint.

I think the Pope did and said the right thing. I hope he dumped the crucifix in the trash.

I was just reminded that that fat leftist in Venezulea is missing on the scene. Did he die or something?

Not a Catholic, but this made me laugh out loud:
"There is a rumor that it is being made into a bong but that has not been confirmed."
Sorry, but this Pope isn't helping his cause. I know he's passionate, loving and cares about the poor, but every commie lib in the world thinks they do too.

Ha ha.

Catholicism's biggest objection with communism is that it has more charismatic leaders.

That, or they view it as ideological competition.

The second 8:05 PM interpretation is actually, in all probability, the best one.

Of course El Popo may be thinking this a waste of a perfectly good hammer and sickle.
