"Tom Brady’s Legacy as One of the Best Takes a Hit"

"To find out if the New England Patriots knowingly used deflated footballs during the A.F.C. championship game in January, the N.F.L. hired lawyers and physics geniuses and investigators who dug so deeply that it seemed they were investigating a federal crime."

"The result was released on Wednesday: a 243-page investigative report, which included a 68-page scientific report and appendices. But, truthfully, all of it could have been boiled down to a single sentence: Tom Brady — one of the most accomplished N.F.L. quarterbacks ever — is more probably than not a cheater."

The last thing that you want to be remembered by are deflated balls.

He's still got Giselle Bundchen, so there's that.

What difference at this point does it make?

Brady will probably be suspended for a few games and pay a fine.

Hey he is a pretty good quarterback but he is no Eli Manning.

We all knew this, especially fans in Boston.

The shoplifter who is caught and convicted twice likely has shoplifted a thousand times without being caught.

Brady and the Pats have been caught twice.

Brady has been caught? Who knew? My favorite line from the "report" (aka hogwash):

... the investigation did find that “it is more probable than not that Brady was at least generally aware of the inappropriate activities.”

How'd you like to be charged for malfeasance with terms & wording like that?

This crap just another reason for me to not watch NFL or NCAA Div 1 Football. It is all "probably" true that the players are "generally aware" of what day it is....man oh man. Hard to beat that stuff, even if it was a Clinton talking "knowingly."

Also consider the crime that he was charged with. He (maybe) knowingly played with footballs whose air pressure had been diminished by a few ounces. Is this such an extraordinary offense against the game of football? At long last, does he have no sense of decency?.....In every football game ever played in the NFL, there's a few late hits, or stomped fingers, or some offense that's far more egregious than throwing a slightly deflated football.
