Jefferson's Enlightenment

He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me.

Probably means that nobody has either an exact or practical turnkey solution, and are hoping for some inventive synergy that they can lay partial claim when a "bulls-eye" emerges out of the pile of improvements. Or, at least, score a dirt-cheap license.

It tells me that they're throwing their hands up on in-house improvements or innovation on their existing portfolio.

The future is now.

Oh wait:

In 1994, Rocky Mountain Institute founded the Hypercar Center to help prove its technical feasibility and commercial reality.

In 1998, Rocky Mountain Institute took this process a step further by launching a for-profit venture, Hypercar Inc.

In 2004, Hypercar Inc. changed its name to Fiberforge to better reflect the company's new goal of lowering the cost of high-volume advanced-composite structures.

In 2010, Fiberforge office is established in Zug Switzerland.

In 2012, Fiberforge was at the height of production output with approximately 70 employees.

In 2013, Fiberforge ceased operations due to financial problems.

That's actually quite a magnanimous gesture. At least now anyone can tap into these royalty free patents and make a go of them without reprisals.
