I recently bought two items from a retail website and returned one of them. Then they sent me emails asking me to post reviews on their website.
I gave one product 4 stars with a succinct explanation of my rationale. I gave the other product 2 stars doing likewise.
Next I get an email from the website thanking me for the review submissions and I check the website to find that the 4 star review was posted and the 2 star was not.
I fully realized that something like that might happen but it still pisses me off.
And the fact that it pisses me off pisses me off even more.
That doesn't say anything very flattering about me but there you have it.

Selective approval. No mystery there. Had the thankful return email been addressed "Dear Batty" some underlying miff might be suspected.
