I go to bed early and rarely watch late night shows. Occasionally I'd watch Leno's opening. I cannot stand Letterman anymore. He was such an asshole towards Sarah Palin and such a suck up to any corruptocrat. Fuck him.

There are too many options to lock in watching late night TV anymore. I used to watch the Tonight show every night when Johnnie was on. But now with Net Flicks, Amazon Prime, Hulu and a smart TV I have an amazing number of options. So when are ready to watch a little TV right before we go to sleep we catch up on series we might have missed. Doing that we have watched such offerings as
"House of Cards", "Homeland","The Guardian","Lillyhammer", and currently a goofy little series called "The Glades."
I don't miss late night talk shows in the least.
Use your options and opt out of late night TV. It is not 1968 anymore. Just sayn'

I's suggest someone who's funny - Norm MacDonald Dennis Miller or Jay Leno.
BTW, I stopped watching late night talk shows on a regular basis about 5 years ago, except for the occasional Leno monologue.
Trooper is right, in ye olden days it was late night talks shows or Nightline. Now, in the 21st Century, with DVR's and 150 cable TV channels, why would I watch Jimmy Kimmel interview some starlet about her upcoming movie?
Finally, just skimmed through a book written by Johnny Carson's Lawyer. Seems Johnny hated Tom Snyder for no other reason then Carson believing TS was a no talent bore.
After a couple drinks Johnny ran into into Tom at a local restaurant - TS said "hi" and then JC had to be restrained from punching TS in the nose.
I don't watch late night talk shows, but Norm MacDonald would kill. I loved that little sports show he had, but it was canceled. I'm pretty sure he's too much of a smartass to be chosen. But for the PC crowd, Gutfeld would be a great choice also.

I didn't realize this blog was supposed to be only about IMPORTANT stuff. If so, someone needs to take down all the posts about cute animals, music, etc.

As I understand the way things work here, you're free to like or not like whatever is said, and I'm free to comment or ask whatever questions I want, within the limits of civility.
The questions asked fall into the category of civil and legitimate. I'll agree the opinion at the end was editorializing, but it too fits the guidelines listed.
Before I built a wall I'd ask to know

Same with figuring out who the best replacement for Letterman would be. Which makes the questions I asked relevant. Who watches late night shows???
