It's Going According To Plan

The restructuring of American in to a glorious socialist dung heap is a dream held and a plan made by leftists since before the second World War.  And dung heap is an accurate description; many Asian and European socialist countries are exactly that.

Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and other Progressives in America studied the works of American sociologists and Columbia University professors Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven, two of the American left's most widely revered political philosophers.

Cloward and Piven authored a strategy in 1966 that called for overloading the welfare system in order to precipitate a financial crisis that would lead to a replacement of the welfare system with a national system of a guaranteed annual income, and thus (they believed) an end to poverty.   When the cost of debt service becomes 100% of  tax revenue, the government, according to Cloward and Piven, will have no choice other than to seize assets to meet its obligations to its citizens.  Kiss your 401(k) goodbye.  Kiss your savings goodbye.  Hello wealth redistribution.  The result they hoped for will be the transformation of America into a Socialist nation.

Classic Socialism calls for government ownership of the means of production.  American Socialism is more subtle.  The government doesn't own the means of production, but merely controls them through regulation and administration.  Through the increasing imposition of  regulations on business, industry, farming and banking the government effectively controls the means of production.  Executive orders and written regulations have replaced laws.

Remember when Obama said that he would fundamentally change America?  What did you think he meant?  He meant turning America into a nation where wealth is seized through taxation, regulation, and executive order, then redistributed as a huge and omnipresent government sees fit.

According to the Heritage Foundation
The number of people receiving benefits from the federal government in the United States has grown from under 94 million people in 2000 to more than 128 million people in 2011. That means that 41.3 percent of the U.S. Population is now on a federal government program. The 128 million is an estimate based on the recently released March 2011 U.S. Census Bureau Current Population Survey (CPS), which, due to the survey methodology, most likely undercounts the actual number.
Not only are more people now receiving more benefits, the amount of the benefits has increased exponentially.  In 2010, over 70 percent of all federal spending went to dependence-creating programs.

ObamaCare is one part of the plan.  And where we now are with ObamaCare is only a brief stopping-off point.  The goal is complete federal ownership of the health care system, medical education, pharmaceutical companies and you through a single-payer system.

Here's Barack Obama explaining it to sycophants before his first presidential campaign.

"As all of you know, we can't get there immediately.  First we have to take back the White House....."

He has done that.  Now all he needs is to create a permanent voting bloc of those dependent on government and Progressives will be able to hold power in America without end.  Remember that 41.3% of Americans are dependent on government to some extent, large or small?  Increase that by another 10% and you control America.  That is the purpose of ObamaCare.

As I am ever that optimist, I will say conservatives and moderates should never give up hope.   And I think the social issues conservatives love to beat like a rented mule are secondary to the One Big Issue, which is that Americans must have less dependency on government for the nation's well being.

Dependency is the complete loss of freedom.  It's the plan Cloward and Piven taught their acolytes at Columbia University, from which Barack Obama graduated in 1983.

Five years into the Obama administration, the plan appear to be working.

Excellent post. The Cloward-Piven strategy is one I have repeatedly cited in commentary on various blogs. You have made it succinct and perhaps now we can have a discussion of it.

Obamacare is definitely part of the strategy and designed from the start to fail under crushing financial obstacles...such as virtually re-inventing the wheel in federal health care terms.

See an alternative proposal: Equal Healthcare Access Act sponsored by Darrell Issa(R) , and original co-sponsors Mick Mulvaney(R) and Rep. Wm. Lacy Clay(D). No additional contracting is required, because it is already done and has been for over 50 years. If anything it might need a means test feature, however it is proposed to be directly accessible by employers and/or individuals alike, with employers paying a subsidy stipend directly toward the premiums if they choose...a feature not available in Obamacare.

Odd thing is ... this idea was first put forward on a national stage in 2004, by Senator John Kerry. Maybe Lurch's only good idea ever.

Never the less, it didn't get traction in 2004 or later, IMO because it did not create a new powerful layer of bureaucracy and control, instead using an existing system.

Everyday I read on Drudge news like this.

What you gonna do about it?

Nothing.

The "opposition" is the Republican Party. It's about to get on board for another blanket amnesty.

So, the baseline agenda of the Republican Party is cheap labor and replacing native workers with illegals.

The only thing that prevents the permanent ascendancy of the collective is it success, which always - 100% of the time - leads to disaster. Unfortunately, a lot people have to actually taste a shit sandwich before they can figure out it's not delicious. Forward!

Who are the Obamacare navigators? ACORN!!!

@ricpic

Yes, it was all about graft.

It's a long shot, but we repealed prohibition. We were a different people then, but Obamacare is by far the worst government fuckup in history versus the stupidest electorate in history.

Tough call.

@bagoh

Once people go on the dole, they are very reluctant to go off the dole. They vote for those who promise to continue to pay their dole. Fear of losing the dole and having to make it on their own locks people into permanent dependency.

That's the Obamacare calculation.

Thanks for mentioning Hillary. I hear some on the right say she would be better than Obama. How or why? She's just as much a radical leftist collectivist statist as Obama.

I also notice the Hillary priming is everywhere. I watch little TV but even the short spans I do watch I notice there's a buzz and hum about how females are superior the males and men do in fact suck. Anti-male bias is nothing new from Hollywood but I think now it's a subtle play to the less informed that... "Only men fuck stuff up finically"...so...

OK, here's brainteaser for you:

What was the last important thing that Obama told you that ended up true?

Take your time.

Considering the blithering incompetence of the current rulers, I'd say the agenda is hitting the first of many icebergs.

bagoh20 said...

Yea, I don't see the fundamental change coming from him, just the speed and the distance traveled in the change already in motion. He really just expanded everything that was already wrong with the nation: graft, dependency, waste government interference, racial tension, and on and on. I don't see one thing better that is worth the cost, but that's the direction we were heading anyway. The fires were already burning - he just brought the gasoline. Bless his heart.

Upon his departure from the office of the Presidency, General Eisenhower is famously noted for his warning about the "Military Industrial Complex." IIRC correctly my subscription to Ramparts Magazine cited the general's words in the mid-1960's on the cover and in an article.

He was correct, of course, but frequently misinterpreted by the left. I'd rephrase the term a bit to: "The Defense-Industrial Complex." THAT "complex" is how and why we have General Dynamics operating the Obamacare call center, and sundry other defense contractors hip deep in it, like CGI-Federal Division (the merged and absorbed Stanley, Inc, of Arlington, Virginia), of CGI-Group Canada, designing the website. No surprise either to find Lockheed-Martin running the IT operations of other parts of DoD.

The good news is Bill Clinton just threw Obama and Obamacare under the bus.

The bad news is the Clintons [who are multi-millionaires and bigtime wealth re-distributors as long as it is not their own wealth that is being re-distrbuted] will now veer to the middle to get the Hildebeast elected president.

Cloward-Piven has been the goal of these unmitigated traitors for decades and before, but they just didn't know what to call it until Cloward-Piven made the scene. Now it's just unadulterated, full steam ahead transformative radical leftist Marxism. This train isn't slowing down either.

There is zero we can do about it. The government will bring to bear against you an onslaught that you will never be able to repel and they will stand there and say, "What are you gonna do about it?" knowing full well short of a complete and coordinated and most likely armed uprising that sees another civil war in this country, that there is nothing you can do about it. Everyone of these SOB's that are doing this and they know they are will get the justice they deserve.

James O'keefe has done it again.

The first half is just navigators encouraging lying on the application, but in the second half you see how the navigators are just DNC operatives raking in money and mailing list info "illegally", which is a word that means only Democrats are allowed to do it.

Big thinks to Bill Clinton and James O'Keefe for timing their activities to coincide with my posts today.
