“Bottom line, he got his feelings hurt.”

"A Chico Police officer is under investigation by his own department after a city councilman accused him of putting racially insensitive material on his Facebook page."
City Councilman Randall Stone called for an internal review after discovering the posts on Officer Todd Boothe’s public Facebook page.

One featured a skull painted like the confederate flag, another shows the president’s face painted like the Joker. There’s another featuring the president dressed in tribal garb, while another post has a homophobic slur.

Confederate flags are verboten in Das Reich.

A man has got to understand the double standard. Imagine how far you would have to go abusing George W. Bush or Romney or any white male to get someone to start an investigation. Is it even possible?

Censorship is always being looked for on the right, yet somehow always showing up in plain sight on the left.

OT: We should grovel before the king. lord Obama has decided to let people keep their insurance plans, but only for about one year - just until shortly after the 2014 midterms.

Glory be! The king is so gracious.

The officer’s supporters say he’s protected by the First Amendment, and call the posts satire, not racism.

The officer's supporters are mistaken. A cop can be fired for calling another cop an asshole. A cop can be fired for brandishing a weapon without sufficient cause. A cop can be fired for cheating on his wife or for getting drunk. A cop can be fired for "being" a racist.

One man's apocalyptic battle between the forces of the political left and the political right is another man's salutary limitation on one of the more dangerous departments of government.

This is well beyond the pale of what happens in Madison, WI.

Oliver Wendell Holmes, "There may be a constitutional right to talk politics, but there is no constitutional right to be a policeman."

While I do not think this officer should be fired for having anti Obama political views, he potentially can be fired for this. But it is not so simple.

The Joker: If you like your plan you can keep your plan, period.

The Joker said that 36 times.

Actually, The Joker is a mild description of The Angel of Death.

Beyond my most vivid imagination.

I am unfit for government service.
