Saykou George, 30, was charged with resisting arrest and assaulting an officer after he tussled with Officer Jean Francisco on Wednesday in Harlem. He was seen carrying a knife and had an outstanding arrest warrant. He had prior arrests for assault and pot possession.
There are a couple of things that are interesting about this video. It is a little long but stick with it.
First of all the City Council has a bill pending that says that the cops have to get written permission before they can search someone like this. Imagine how that would go.
Second look how effective the female cop is in this confrontation. It should make any feminist proud of how she can do the job just as well as any man. Look how she jumped in their to protect her partner.
There is a movement in NYC called "Disarm the Police." They want to take the guns away from the cops and get them out of the neighborhood. They have already outlawed stop and frisk. Now they want to outlaw stop and talk.. Soon they will move to stop the police from doing anything at all against the skells and the criminals who make up along with their families a significant portion of the voting base for the progressive politicians running NYC. De Blasio got elected with about 20% of the eligible voters casting a ballot in the last election.
Of course the cop is under investigation. He is up on charges because he was trying to arrest a criminal with an outstanding warrant. He didn't pull his gun like the guy at the pool. He didn't use a nightstick or pepper spray. He tried talking with him first and then tried to take him down the old fashioned way without any help from his hapless female partner. So he is the one in trouble. You can understand why arrests are down more than 60% this quarter.
It's De Blasio time.
