California dude claims family court routinely violates constitutional due process.

This guy claims there is some type of collusion between governmental entities shortchanging traditional fathers. We have California fam here, you know what this fella is talking about, or is he smoking some of that legal weed they have over there now? 

Is Changing the Constitution the Only Way to Fix Washington?

Via Drudge:  No “amendment convention” has taken place since the Constitution was written over 200 years ago. But the idea is gaining steam now, stoked by groups on the left and right that say amendments drafted and ratified by states are the last, best hope for fixing the nation’s broken political system and dysfunctional — some even say tyrannical — federal government.

“We have a Congress in the United States made up of two bodies — House and Senate — that are incapable of restricting their own power,” said Texas state Sen. Brian Birdwell, a Republican. With the conventions, he said, states are stepping in to clean up the mess.

The current push for a convention began in the early years of the Obama administration, mostly driven by Republican lawmakers. Ohio Gov. John Kasich and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott are big supporters. So are former presidential candidates Sen. Ted Cruz and Sen. Marco Rubio. Although many amendment topics have been proposed, the most popular would require the federal government to balance its budget.

"Sept. 17 marks Constitution Day. In Philadlephia, 228 years ago, George Washington and his fellow delegates subscribed their names to a copy of the proposed constitution. They hoped the states would call conventions to consider the document and that at least nine would ratify it and summon into existence what they described in the preamble as “a more perfect Union,” which would “establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty” to themselves and their “Posterity.”

"As this language suggests, nearly all of those who had attended the federal convention had high hopes. None, however, were certain that the proposed constitution would suffice. They were, they knew, engaged in an experiment."

Fredo Arias-King, writing for Center of Immigration Studies (CIS) for one year served as aide to presidential candidate Vicente Fox Quesada of Mexico. After Fox's victory he declined government jobs but agreed to represent the PAN  (Partido Acción Nacional) at both Republican and Democratic national conventions in Philadelphia and Los Angeles speaking extensively to U.S. public figures including 80 members of Congress about bilateral relationships. Harvard trained businessman and Sovietologist and funding editor of Demokratizatsiya: The Journal of Post-Soviet Democratization published in Washington. TL:DR Democracy requires informed and involved electorate. In America this has developed too far for the  comfort of office holders. In seeking to entrench their own power American leaders of both parties prefer a less informed and less involved electorate, in short, they seek to change the electorate more malleable and more accepting to a Patron-Client relationship.
