- Do show up on time. A good looking brunette won’t wait around forever.
- Do treat her as an equal; she likes that.
- Do order her food for her.
- Do open doors for her.
- Do offer her assistance when walking to the car, or into a restaurant.
- Don’t be late.
- Don’t hold her coat up too high when you assist her with putting it on.
- Don’t force her to shake anyone’s hand, let her offer her hand.
- Don’t walk on the inside of the sidewalk, instead walk curb side.
- Don’t forget, ladies go first — she must always precede you.

Weekly Standard: Feminism and Its Discontents
"The hook-up culture denounced by conservatives is the very same rape culture denounced by feminists. Who wants it? Most college women do not; they ignore hookups and lament the loss of dating. Many men will not turn down the offer of an available woman, but what they really want is a girlfriend. The predatory males are a small minority among men who are the main beneficiaries of the feminist norm. It’s not the fault of men that women want to join them in excess rather than calm them down, for men too are victims of the rape culture. Nor is it the fault of women. Women are so far from wanting hook-ups that they must drink themselves into drunken consent—in order to overcome their natural modesty, one might suggest. Not having a sociable drink but getting blind drunk is today’s preliminary to sex. Beautifully romantic, isn’t it? The anonymous Harvard woman by getting drunk was unfortunately helping to pressure herself into consenting to a very bad experience. But she is right that the pressure comes with the encouragement of the culture. And the culture comes from the dogmas of feminism that made this mess for women and men too." (read the whole thing)
College "rape culture" is a big topic of internet 'conversation' these days.
I didn't go to college, and I don't say that with pride or anything even resembling that. I'm saying I didn't go college, concomitant this post, to say I don't have a hard and fast opinion, one way or the other.
I say both sides have an equally valid and fair agenda. Everybody is right and nobody is wrong ;)

Business Insider: New York Women Paid To Go To Silicon Valley To Find Millionaires
"The five-day trip, which was crowdfunded via Crowdtilt, was thrown by Lauren Kay, the founder of dating startup The Dating Ring. The idea behind it is that Silicon Valley has become so dominated by wealthy men that it has caused a supply-demand imbalance. For some reason, this can only be solved by flying women from New York to San Francisco. Naturally, the concept is not without its flaws."
On the third day, O'Connor and the rest of the New York gang headed to a party thrown for the Crowdtilt benefactors.Sex in the City meets Sleepless in San Francisco... what could go wrong?
"Some of the men at this party are more eccentric than those we received as matches," O'Connor recalls.
One programmer who donated several hundred dollars to the campaign compared the situation to giving money to a homeless person—implying that it was a demeaning act of pity.

'Men To Pay For Dates App'
"There’s only one method of manipulation that has stood the test of time: bribery.
Give a woman a present, and she’ll..."
That's the opening line of a press release for Carrot Dating, a new matchmaking app that lets men "bribe their way to a date."
The app enables users to "accept gifts/activities for a first date, with men and women being tempted with offers such as plastic surgery or a tank of gas for a “yes”. What doesn’t work: messaging and hoping."
By the way, he got the idea from his mother.
