An interesting point has been made the last couple of weeks about Nixon's resignation and Trump's troubles. I'll link the most complete view of it here, but the upshot is that both made a point of trying to end wars and the Deep State didn't like that. Given that 53 years ago the Watergate burglary had nothing to do with Nixon, but the Demos were hot to use it, not least than to settle some old scores raises the same question about the several "impeachments" already raised against Trump.They all turned out to be specious in the extreme.
One excuse for 11/3 is that people were sick of a do-nothing Congress. So you send to DC and many state houses a pack of incompetents and psychos? Sorry, doesn't wash. Another is the war. The Demos tried to run that one and it never seems to have taken off, much to the frustration of the sheeple.
PS FWIW JD Vance said today the war was the reason the Rs lost. Again, they didn't lose. It was stolen.
But if Vance thinks that puts him at the head of the pack for '28, it puts him at the bottom in my book.
