I remember Earth Day in the 70's! I was in high school and it was a big deal, along with protesting The War. Looking it up I see it was started in April of 1970, by US Senator (D) Gaylord Nelson, following a massive oil spill, with Silent Spring (which I did a book report on) published in 1962.
Whenever I see a wind farm, I never fail to be impressed by how unsightly they look, and how much farm land is being used to support them (along with forested areas that are culled in our area).
