No huge tatas this time around but definitely a large bun.

Going from a nutty woman with red hair, AOC eyes, garters and attachment issues, plus a million lit candles flickering in a house with a cat and weird paper cutouts pasted all over, to this demure sweet thing honing in on McQueens finger play. All to target that ever-hopeful streak in men hoping the rice is worth the price, and they might end up dancing together in silk robes and socks or scoring on the kitchen table with the spilled milk and Wheaties.

Sometimes it's hard to tell who is more naive and hopeful about winning the game they're willfully walking into and setting themselves up to lose--men or women. Hollywood is not your friend when it comes to reality based relationships.

Annie Savoy has red hair? I had never read that before. Learn something every day, I suppose.

I made it a goal to try and identify all the shooting locations for that movie, over the years, and figured out most of them. Of course in the 33 years since the film was made many of them are gone. More's the pity.

And Crash got his dingers - you go Crash!

If Mcqueen hadn't died so young he would be Clint Eastwood's age.

Raising the question: How old was Steve McQ when he died? And what was the cause?

Which brought up all manner of info regarding a past that included dyslexia, childhood beatings, life on the street, gangs, petty crime, reform school, and eventually the Marines where he received what he needed to live, along with the exposure to asbestos that lead to his death. Diagnosed with pleural mesothelioma, he died at age 50 following surgery in Mexico to remove or reduce numerous metastatic tumors in his neck and abdomen, including one that weighed 5 lbs.

That's what I'd call a hell of a life. One that included heavy substance use/abuse and odd connections ranging from friendship with Sharon Tate (and being on Manson's hit list) to a visit in last days from Billy Graham.

With this as a side note:

McQueen had an unusual reputation for demanding free items in bulk from studios when agreeing to do a film, such as electric razors, jeans, and other items. It was later discovered McQueen donated these things to the Boys Republic reformatory school, where he had spent time in his teen years. McQueen made occasional visits to the school to spend time with the students, often to play pool and speak about his experiences.

Spinelli hates talk of rice bowls...it's like he has one himself.

So I'm making honest moves on the baker chick. Wish me luck.

The original reference to "rice bowls" is in this clip: link

Oh my, this is humor at its best. Will she knead him?

Most curious as to what "honest moves" involve?

The British actor Damian Lewis played Steve McQueen in Tarantino's "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood." He absolutely nailed his character: link. Fast forward to about 2.5 min in.

Lewis is a good actor. I have seen him in 3 roles, all playing an American. Brits can nail our accents.

Nailing seems to be the theme, to accompany roles and rice bowls.

It's good to have diversions on which to connect, however. Sort of what I see happening with the Petito focus. While unable to wrap one's arms around the horror and enormity of the abuse and suffering taking place in Afghanistan after the botched withdrawal or find a place to grapple with or influence the unfolding situation at the border, figuring out where one woman's body might be and who killed her becomes the comfortable place to focus uncomfortable feelings and thoughts and attend to wrongdoing. A similar phenomenon was part of the intensity behind the George Floyd response during the height of the shutdowns.

On a lighter, fluffier note, is there a subset of women over 40 in Wisconsin who enjoy being referred to as baker chicks? Biker chicks, maybe? Is that the joke?

Most curious as to what "honest moves" involve?

Honest displays of admiration and support, but beyond what one normally accords to a stranger.

Good luck!

If the honest moves don't work try a dick pic.

MamaM said...

If the dick pics don't do the trick, there's always the TY approach of asking outright if she likes to play corn hole. And if those moves don't bring the hoped-for results or prompt more kneading, rolling and pounding on the breadboard, there's always:

Support and Appreciation
Shared reality
Connection and Resonance
Partnership
Responsibility and Accountability

With these four as the predictive Horsemen of Doom when it comes to long-lasting relationship:
Contempt
Criticism
Defensiveness
Stonewalling
