I have almost not eaten pasta an rice in the same century. Seriously, I had a box of capelli d'angelo that was expired by 10 years when I finally threw it out. No pasta for me since 2005 or so.
I had rice as recently as a year ago, so I'm good.
I wish my old man was alive when this movie was made. My grandfather was an immigrant who had a restaurant. My dad and Uncle Dom had to constantly negotiate w/ him to make food Americans wanted.

But is it philistine to eat rice and pasta the same day? Not the same meal. The same day. Cause I done dat.
That's the San Francisco treat, next to Aids that is.

Hey spinelli, that was my thought as I watched this clip: you're almost doomed to failure in the restaurant business if you're a purist.
Seinfeld Soup Nazi precursor.
As a boy, I preferred spaghetti prepared by Ettore Boiardi.
And all this time I though his first name was "Chef". Huh.
