Flying a DC-3

From Goose Bay in Canada to Narsaruaq Greenland across the Labrador Sea. Then presumably on to the continent for the 75th anniversary of Normandy but that leg is not part of this video.

The pilots are speaking American English. They experience a set of problems at the beginning. It becomes clear the young pilot is being directed by the more experienced older co-pilot.

Commenters on YouTube are impressed with the coolness of the pilots as they work through the problems.

Cameras all over the plane. On the tail to show the left prop, on the wing tip to show the right prop, on the bottom at mid point to show the landing gear and both props, and in the cabin to show the pilots faces and another behind them to show the instruments.

We see out the windows to the landscape.

After they land we see the great meal that they eat.

We see them poop. Just kidding.

We see the young pilot explore a bit of Greenland.

Nice music. Great editing.

Very watchable video.

Commenters say this is the best of the series.

I was in Normandy on June 5th this year. That may have been the C-47 I saw doing a fly-by, escorted by a Hawker and a Spit. It was cool to see.

Ike said the C-47 was one of the things that won WWII. Toss in the jeep and the LST and you've probably got it, although I've always liked Georgie Patton's take,

"I don't have to tell you who won the war. You know who won the war. Our artillery won the war".

Hell of an admission for a cavalryman.
