"You need to relax a little bit, okay?"

Wow, is that nurse ever right.

One of the SonsM had a reaction similar to this when he had his tonsils out as a young child and I did not enjoy the experience of seeing him so vulnerable, compromised and out of control.

It's sort of like witnessing an car accident, intriguing from afar, less so when you know one of the persons involved, or happen to hear a little child desperately calling for the mom who can't answer because she'd being loaded into an ambulance.

I don't find the words and acts of people who've lost their filter through drugs, alcohol or personal trauma to be particularly hilarious or entertaining.

In my view, a young person who is unconsciously expressing inner thoughts while coming out of anesthetic needs adults around him to provide the safety, dignity and boundaries he is incapable of maintaining himself in that situation; and that does not include capturing the situation on video and sharing it with the world.

Maybe the intrigue has to do with the fact that we each have a covered over part inside capable of prompting behavior that could be seen vulnerable, random, open, bold, inappropriate or socially awkward.

Maybe that's why I was a little uneasy watching it. I felt as though the kid was laying there naked.
