Ryan complains of 'broken politics' in farewell to congress

The Washington Times.

*mother's voice* "Honey, if you can't think of anything nice to say then shut up."

Fine!

*thinks*

Ryan has dreamy blue eyes. Check 'em out at the link.

His analysis is common and doesn't approach explaining his own participation in resistance.

A young Boy Scout could have said this:

* The drivers of our broken politics are more obvious than the solutions.

* Congress failed at big divisions:
    ** soaring debt
    ** immigration
    ** poverty

* Solving will require more political will than exists today.

* China is a threat to American-led world order. The answer is a more confident America striding the world stage.

* Today, disagreement gives way to distrust.
    * We spend more time trying to convict each other than developing our own solutions.
    * Being against someone has more currency than being for anything

* Internet amplifies divisions.

That's beautiful. Here ya go. Congratulations. Well done.
