But when they announced them over the loud speaker and they lined up to board the plane the whole airport literally stopped and sang the national anthem with military present in salute. Most every person standing around, myself included was bawling at the sight of these kids and spouses who have paid so great a price for our country. To see all of this at Christmas time was so humbling. Seeing the general public in an airport stand still to honor these kids was simply beautiful.More at Daily Wire.

Nashville airport comes to a standstill as passengers stop to sing National Anthem for children of fallen soldiers.
Mentioned this yesterday, Gary Sinise Snowball Express program sending nealy 2,000 kids of Gold Star families to Disney World. Today, as they boarded a flight in Nashville, an announcement was made over the loudspeakers with a singer performing the National Anthem, and everything momentarily stopped.

And that's what we like about the South.
If that happened in Portland OR, all of the children would have been killed.
I doubt anyone in CA-Streepland would do this.
The fact that honor was accorded, received, and recognized is what stands out and matters most.
And it came about because of the effort, commitment and work of one person who started doing what he could to honor the effort, work and commitment of others.
I witnessed an international airport come to a complete stop today,"
Who could have imagined such an outcome?
Harking back to a comment on ChipA's Morning Sun post, we not only live in a world in which the mysterious and the mundane take place from sunrise to sunset to sunrise again as the earth turns, mendaciousness is also part of the picture and present.
To give into the magnetic and dampening pull of mendacity, without opening oneself to the opportunity and awareness needed to experience the lift that comes when imagination, mystery and the power of light and love are present and active, is to be damped by despair without hope.
The Nashville airport coming to a stop is one story. Who and how that moment came to be realized is another.
