We did indeed get our average total annual snowfall in one storm, which, if it means it doesn't snow again until next winter that is okay by me. I know it doesn't mean that, but what are you going to do, eh?
We had a nice sunrise this morning, which is nice.

"It's nice to be nice" said the store manager when I quit without notice.
I've tried to be nice since to no avail. Once more assume the lotus!
Of course this doesn't apply to naturally nice folk like MamaM and Lem. Only to me and Troop and Sixty ha ha ha.
You make me laugh, ricpic. That's nice.
The rebirth of the sunny South is always welcome. Your cousin played with a lot of famous people. I'm certain you're proud of him. Did you two spend much time together growing up? I'm sorry to see that he passed.
I only saw him a couple of times in my life, the last time was in 1959. He was encouraged in his musical career and I used to get his records and damn near wear them out - he was a gifted musician from a very young age.
So, no, I rarely saw him because he lived so far away, I was aware of his music, and am still in touch with his older brother, who, as near as I can tell, is the longest lived male member of either my mother or my father's families. Cousin Tim is another character who has many stories of his days at Stax. Good times, good times...
I lived in Greenwood Mississippi in the summer of 1967 and one day my uncle drove me down to Jackson to visit my mother's side of the family. Tim and Carson were out touring but I saw the rest of the crew.
The last time I saw any of that side of the family was at my mother's funeral in 1998 - their two sisters attended. Sadly I no longer travel so unless someone comes to visit my face-to-face time with family is over.
